So, what happens when you mix this snapback wearing doofball:

With this beautiful girl:

You get the unlikely relationship of two fimfic users: FamousLastWords and Quillamore! (Complete with ridiculous "it's 2am and we need a photo" pictures!)

Anyway, allow me to tell the story of how we met, how we got together and why the hell someone like her decides to spend her free time associating with me.

Midwest BronyFest 2015.

I had a writing panel at this con with my friends, so I was pretty psyched. Why? Because I simply figured I had this shit on lock. So, imagine my limited enthusiasm when I see that there's another writing panel at the con.

I had to check this out for myself. My naturally obnoxious personality wouldn't allow for anything less.

Now, I'm thinking "Oh, gonna go in there with my friends, learn some basic stuff from random neckbeard author. No biggie." Boy was I wrong.

Not only was the panel extremely informative, but it was run by a girl. A cute girl! A cute girl who recognized my stories from fimfiction! It was crazy stuff, no doubt.

Anyway, we talk a bit after, exchange numbers and that was the end of it... or so I thought.

A few months later or something of that nature...

We've been talking off and on about fics and such, some real life stuff thrown in there, and I start to realized something. This girl is completely different from me in almost every aspect, yet we're developing into great friends. Here are some examples:

I like death metal, she likes older music.
I'm very outspoken and extroverted, she's a bit on the quieter side.
I wear band shirts and snapbacks, she wears clothes that are tactful and cute.
I write about Spike, she does not. (That's a big one, obviously, lol.)

But alas, we've managed to get along great and find a lot of common ground, despite our differences. I felt something going on there, but wasn't ready to say anything...

Several Months Later... again... Like, December or something...

It was done. My heart was compromised.

I really liked Quillamore.

We had been talking every day for the past 7 months or so and I was pretty smitten. However, we had a great friendship going, and I was afraid of screwing that up. So, what do I do?

After much thought, little action and a whole lot of very direct assistance from my roommate and friends, I finally told her how I felt. How'd it go?

Well, at first I didn't really get a response and was kind of left thinking "Well, maybe time to move on to someone else." No use in going after someone who's not interested, right? Well, she actually got back to me late one night...

AND SHE FELT THE SAME WAY!

At that moment, life was pretty good.

Anywho, since then, we've talked more, made some short term plans and had our first date last night when I made the short trip up to see her.

It was a great night, and I couldn't be happier.

I feel like there's a moral here, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is. Something along the lines of "Opposites do Attract" or "Sometimes you just gotta speak up". But, the bottom line is that I've got a beautiful girlfriend who's a far better writer than me and I'd say we compliment each other perfectly.

Anyway, I'm pretty happy. In addition to having a girlfriend now, I've also enrolled back in college to get my bachelors in business mgmt AND i'm making some major advancement in my current career. In light of the business my life has suddenly turned to, I'll have an important announcement to make later this week.
