one-shot (and please help?) · 9:37pm Feb 13th, 2016
Started a cute one-shot thing. Not done with it yet, but it could serve as a prelude to my FlutterDash fic. It feels like it's shaping up all right, and it might help convince people to give my longer story a try. I don't need my stories to be featured or anything, but it'd be nice if they weren't being so harshly put down.
I ran into bad luck posting What They Expect to Give. The same day it was published, the site went offline intermittently for several hours. There were other issues that I've since corrected, but for the life of me, I can't figure out the down votes I keep getting. I get that opinions are subjective, but the story is edited, and the people who I've shared it with speak positively of it. I posted in a group to help stories, hoping for some additional feedback, but so far nada.
If the down votes surpass the up votes, I'll just post up what I have and discontinue the story. I don't have it in me to invest in a work that would be doomed in this way.
Update day is tomorrow. We'll see how that goes.
I'm expecting want the simple awnser why your fic is not getting the additional feedback you deserve and the unnecessary down vote. Well I'll give you my cold hearted truth. We the reader are really picky on the subject we read and if we don't enjoy that one part or even like the characters your shipping. They'll give your story a down.
Ah but what do I know. It just an opinion of mine. But this is not a opinion of mine, this is a fact. Your story is great. But hey, if you don't want to continue on, well that sucks. But what can I do, your choice.
3752136 Oh no, I still intend to continue! I guess I was just putting it out there that if the story really fails in its reception, I was going to move on to greener pastures. We're not at that point yet!
Thanks for responding!
