Chapter 06 preview

Hey there everpony. F1 here. Chapter 06 is nearing completion. So, I thought I'd give you a little snippet of the chapter:

Your felt yourself slip into the darkness. As you sunk further and further, your body grew colder and colder. Just when you felt like it might be the end, you see a faint glimmer of light shining in the distance.

‘What’s that?’ you queried.

You then hovered toward the light. As you got closer to it, you felt a warmth coming from it. There was something familiar with that warmth, something comforting about it. As you reached the light, your body was consumed with warmth.

‘It feels so nice…’

You then closed your eyes as the light overtook you. When you open your eyes, you found yourself looking up at an unfamiliar ceiling. When you tried to move, your body was in moderate pain. When you sat up you looked to see your body had been bandaged up. As you looked at your surroundings, it looked similar to Zecora’s tree home back in Ponyville. Though you were in some pain, it seem to temporarily vanish when you saw your mare, asleep at you side. As you saw her face, it was apparent that she’d been crying for you. With a smile on your face you reached down to gently stroke her mane.

“Zecora~” you cooed.

She stirred in her sleep, but didn’t open her eyes. She leaned into your tender contact.

“I miss you so very much…that I can feel your warm touch,” she mumbled in her sleep.

You couldn’t help but laugh at how cute your mare was.

“Zecora...wake up my love~”

The moment she heard your voice her ears perked up. She immediately woke you and looked at you.

“Morning my lo-”

You were cut off as you were rushed by a striped blur. Zecora hugged you tight as she cried tears of joy.

“What a blessed day! Thank Celestia you’re okay!” she cried.

“Zecora…”

She then looks up to you. Before you could react, you found your lips pressed against hers as she pulled you into a passionate kiss to display her happiness. You return the kiss, but soon pulled back as you winced slightly as your body was still in a little pain. Zecora then move back as well, but looked at you with a warm smile.

“Our deed is done. Nito, the battle you won,” she spoke with pride.

“Doesn’t feel like it,” you joked. “How long was I out?”

“You were asleep for two days, the wounds you suffered were very grave.”

“Two days?! But then where are we?”

“We’re in a secluded small home. I insisted on healing you alone,” she explained.

“Oh, I see. And are the others safe?”

She gave an assuring smile.

“It seems Voduisant was quite the cunning cad. He purposely threw the fight that he had. And while we battle the villain Shade, he went fought the ones in the colony and the other zebras were saved.”

“Well, that was actually pretty clever. Speaking of which, what happened after Shade was defeated?”

“I’d heard that in the end, the other drones turned tail and fled.”

“Good,” you sighed. “Then I guess it was mission accomplished.”

As you breathed in you felt a slight discomfort and quickly grabbed his ribs.

“Ugh...I guess I gotta take it easy huh?” you groaned.

She then tenderly placed her hoof on your chest.

“Rest yourself Nito. For now, I’ll take care of you,” she sweetly spoke.

“Yes, my shaman,” you nodded.

At that moment, you both heard a knock at the door.

“I wonder who that is?” you pondered.

Zecora then headed to the living room to answer the door. When she opened it she saw that it was her mother and her little sister. Her mother was a tall zebra mare with a light gray coat and black stripes, and cyan eyes, while her little sister was a petite zebra mare with a white coat and dark gray stripes, and sky blue eyes. Her sister tackled Zecora into a hug.

“Sister, it is true. You come home...how I missed you,” her sister spoke with jubilation.

“Please forgive the late hour of my return,” Zecora said, as she gave her a small smile. “After we lost Blade I could not stay and mourn.”

“We understand my child and we can forgive,” her mother said as she entered the home. “But tell me...who is this?

Zecora turned to see that you’d gotten out of bed after you heard the commotion.

“He is the village savior. He is also my lover,” Zecora confessed.

“Our savior and your lover you claim. Tell me stranger what is your name,” her mother asked.

You then told her your name.

“But I go by Nito,” you said.

“Both of those are really strange. Why do you have such funny names?” asked her sister.

“I know you have questions for him to digest; but please mother and sister Nito needs rest,” Zecora requested.

“Aww...” whined her sister.

You couldn’t help but chuckle at her little sister’s antics.

“It’s okay dear. I’m well enough that I can answer a few questions,” you stated.

“If you insist, but at least rest,” she said, as she ushered you back to bed.

“Yes ma’am.”

You knew well enough not to argue with your mare so you hoped back into bed. Zecora then took spot next to you and sat at your side.

“Now, tell me who you fine mares are?” you asked.

“I am Rhani, her sister,” answered the younger mare.

“And I’m Zhara; Zecora’s mother,” spoke the mature one.

As you looked at her mother, it was easy to see where Zecora got her natural beauty from. You then gave them both a warm smile.

“I’m pleased to meet you,” you stated. “I can see where Zecora gets her beauty from.

To your surprise this got a blush smile from Zhara.

“You’re quite a charming one,” she replied.

“Is that how her heart was won?” chimed in Rhani.

“Well, I guess you say that. Though to be honest, she won my heart first,” you admitted.

This got an arched eyebrow from her mother.

“So very deeply enamored you are? And I trust respectful of my daughter?"

“Mother!” said Zecora.

“Very respectful, ma’am. I haven’t tried anything that she hasn’t consented to,” you declared.

“That is most wise. If dare hurt her, I aim for eyes,” Rhani bluntly warned.

“Mother…Rhani…I beg you to stop please…” Zecora voiced with a blush. “You both are embarrassing me…”

“That’s okay dear. They’re just doing what families do. Besides, you’re really cute when you blush dear,” you teased, as you nuzzles her neck.

This earned you the treasured smile that only your mare can give you. As the time went on, the four of you enjoyed friendly chat. You asked questions about their culture and you in turn answered the questions they had about yours. Before you knew it, noon had come and gone. During you conversation, your stomach growled loudly. This caused the mares to laugh and you to blush.

“Guess I’m a little hungry,” you uttered.
