How Big is Too Big? · 6:38pm Jan 29th, 2016
First of all, no. This Blog is not about that, you filthy buckers
But if you thought it, you're awesome!
Regular readers of my story "Wildfire - Lighting the Flame" will have spotted a pattern. The size of the chapters has been steadily increasing over the space of the last few instalments.
My question is, as the upcoming chapter 14 (3.4) is looking to be at least 30,000 words, do you, my readers, mind this size of chapter or is it too big?
Keep, writing
I don't mind mate, but the question that you should be asking yourself is does that size of the chapters bother you?

oh no, not at all. it has to be as big as it is to accommodate all the content i need to get in it
3721209 Well then don't worry about it mate, if it has to be that big then it has to be that big.

thank you!
3721278 Welcome, and have an amazing day.
That is about as big as I ever make my chapters for any of my stories, although I have seen really grand stories have chapters just under 100,000 words per chapter. Really it is up to you for how big you think you can keep a chapter theme going.

Thanks, i was just wary of scaring the reader away with a too big chapter
3721328 Like both me and Tempest have said, don't worry about it. If people are interested, it won't matter the length.
It is really more about content than length. If the story takes the reader in then they don't notice the length till it ends and want more.

It's true. People who are interested like us will love a long chapter. It means more detail, and of course lots more story!
You should make your chapters as big as you want to make them. Some of the more popular stories have all sorts of chapters at 10k plus so length is no big. Just keep kicking tail with what you're writing and it will be all good!
