As for the joke, I can't speak for everyone else, but I have an excuse for falling for it. I'm not exactly from this planet, so jokes like that go over my head.
Shouldn't that have been obvious from the get-go? I wouldn't have thought that you'd have that much sway over the writers of MLP. In fact, I don't think anyone in the brony community has that much sway over the writers of MLP.
