Journey of the Stork · 1:24am Aug 22nd, 2012
I'd just like to say a few words about the fanfic I submitted this morning, titled Journey of the Stork.
It started last night. I was working on the latest chapter of The Witch, but I was struggling. Everything was just turning to crap (and given I'm trying to pull the current story arc together and wrap it up in a nice little bow within the next three updates, what can you expect?). So to vent my frustration, I did something I haven't done in several years.
I played Yoshi's Island.
For five solid hours, I played the everliving hell out of that game. I got halfway through the third world before I started drifting off. But then, as luck would have it, I had my earbuds in. The game sent itself back to the title screen, resulting in me listening to this song:
For the entire night on repeat.
My DS Lite was plugged in and charging, too, so I woke up still listening to the song. After waking up proper, having my coffee and Cap'n Crunch, and checking up on my boards, I suddenly found myself with all these emotions about baby Celestia and Luna going on an adventure. The stork was important too, mind you. And so, without even thinking, I wrote "Journey of the Stork" in about an hour, just putting everything I felt down upon the page. The story you see there is my raw emotion. Those are, as the meme goes, my innermost feels.
It was only an hour after I titled and submitted my story that I realized I had 100 followers now. So, I decided as I waited for Journey of the Stork to pass moderation, this story is my 100 Sub gift to you all. I cannot thank you all enough for continuing to support my writing, even when I don't support it myself. Thank you, thank you so much!
Vale!
It was a great story. Thank you for sharing it
