I walk onto a bridge, covered in blood.
I walk to the part I've never been in, since I merely passed by the bridge in fear of the big wolves, at least until I gained a few levels.
I see a narrow, yet open space that's closed off from the rest of the bridge with but a hole in the debris to let me in. On the other side is a the castle(?) gate and wall.
This seems familiar. I have played Dark Souls before.
As my squad is watching me, I say:
"This looks like a boss battle."
*boss peeks over the castle before doing the epic leap entrance.*
"Definitely a boss battle."
My body wasn't ready, but I still managed to beat it on my first time! >:D
Bu.... you..... wha...... how?
3678973 As a Dark Souls player, I immediately recognized they went for the traditional "first boss at the bridge" with nearly the exact same boss patterns.
Now, does this detract from the experience? No, because the same guys who made Dark Souls made this. I'm a pragmatist, you got to be genre savvy in games like these.
Beating a boss on your first try, and this was my first boss in Bloodborne at that, was oddly empowering.
3678983 AH..... I get ya.
Cleric Beast in one? Good on ya.
If you haven't been spoiled by any of Bloodborne's hidden story, wait until you find out Cleric Beast's identity
3679091 Now... time to find the second boss?
Man, Dark Souls was easier to navigate than this game.
Ahhh, Bloodborne, my personal GOTY. Glad to see you're giving it a try.
3679110 Some boss rooms will have dead ends. The best way to find the second boss is to explore the city more.
3679830 Just fought the guy in the old town, the one with the machine gun mount.
Was holding my own (my squad watched me get him to half health and were finally impressed at my style), and then the guy fucking rolls off the building by accident and dies.
Just wut. I know you're supposed to be a pragmatist and abuse any exploit you can find in a game like this, but the AI can be plain ridiculous at times.
3681187 That's pretty hilarious. Almost as good as this (17:50).
