I just can't decide!

Okay so here's the problem, I want to make this fic as believable as possible, but I also want to get out of the infant stage ASAP.

Basically to make it believable I would need to go through ALL the steps of learning about a new species NOW rather then waiting for Twilight to come in, then having to go through it again with her. You would see how they find out about his diet, why he needs clothes, ect. I think that would be boring... If I tired I could make it interesting, but I would hate every minute of it.

So here are your options-
1- I explain it all now and then explain it again when Twilight enters the story.

2- I skip it for now and then give you the foot notes about how they found it all out when Twilight gets here.

Might just be me, but the second option would be pretty neat. I like the idea of listing various cringe-worthy learning experiences, I think it's funny.

The first one sounds more reasonable and is a great opportunity for each mare to take care of the baby while discovering more of him, giving us an opportunity to see how each mare takes responsibility with him.

So yeah, believe it or not, first option is probably the best and can give us some good jokes about raising a kid and the difficulties of raising an alien

You could go with option 1 and explore how Twilight and the kid interact with each other.
Or you would go with option 2 and make the "Everypony explains to Twilight what the kid is" speach into a side story (think Be Human: the All American girl sidestories)

Either way if fine with me.
