You were a FOAL to come here! The voice boomed truimphantly in my? Our? His? mind. I? We? He? laughed. It held no mirth or joy, nor menace. It was the laugh of one whose mind has gone to the darkest place imaginable, and been broken by it.
"I am no fool. Nor am I a child. I don't know why I came here, or who I even am. I am mad, though." What are you babbling about? "Good question," the madman chuckled, "And one which I rarely know the answer to." You claim to be mad, but you do not sound angry. The voice, which the madman had decided was female based on nothing at all, sounded flabbergasted. "I am not angry, I am insane. Here, come into my mind!"
Nightmare Moon felt a sudden wave of magic surge against her mind. It was devoid of purpose, merely magic for the sake of magic. A mind pressed itself against hers, filling her head with the whispers of a thousand shadows. The prey was more powerful than she had expected, and she tried to flee. "NO YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE. EXCEPT, MAYBE, INSANE!" The deranged pegasus pulled Nightmare into his mind. Sensations, emotions, and places all formed and dissolved in seconds. Just when the evil goddess was about to break, there was a lull in the storm of the ponys' mind. A figure formed next to her. It was bipedal, and it wore a long, brown, hooded shirt. A light blue shirt was visible underneath, and it wore faded and strangely patterned pants that had many pockets. "Ah, Nightmare Moon. We meet at last."
