Happy New Years! Update For Those That Still Follow Me.

Hello all my readers and welcome to 2016! I hope that this year proves to be my best yet as a new writer! My New Year’s Resolution is to double my reader base! I’m hoping that I can get some help from all of you. Spread my name around to a couple people you know and I will be eternally grateful! Also I’ve recreated my Facebook page for all of you to get quicker updates on what I’m doing and if things will be delayed and why. That way you don’t have to wait for a new chapter to know why I’m behind. Just look up the name Alicia Maness. Yes that’s my actual name and the avatar is as close to how I actually look as I could make her. You’ll know you have the right page because under my name is the nickname AtomicPuffin. Send a friend request and I’ll be sure to accept it. I also tend to post funny memes that have to do with my daily feelings. I miss a few days, but that’s because I’m in the zone and pushing out the chapters. Which is why you got the new chapter so early on Magic. Gotta love that Inspiration stick lol.

Okay so on to point two of this update. I have a long list of new ideas I want to try and bring in with the new year and I would love your opinions on them as a few of them are projects set for after ‘Magic’ is completed. Also for those that follow me outside of the realm of fanfiction and I’m hoping that many of you do as I will one day have a book finished and ready for publication; I have several ideas for a new project after ‘Love’s Game’ is wrapped up neatly. I would like all of you to help me by voting on the ones you think I should tackle first or the one that catches your attention most.

So I would really appreciate it if you decide to follow me on my other sites. Wattpad(com) or Writerscafe(org) and take a read on my other stuff. Especially since my new projects are completely out of my normal writing, but I figured ‘New Year-New Style” why not? Plus I’ve been binge watching a lot of shows and it’s given me a lot of inspiration to run with. So please let me know what you think and what speaks the most to you. All of these will be written as prompts as they don’t have titles. I’m not kidding when I say that is always the last thing I do for my work. I’ll have the first chapter written and then I’ll stare at the computer screen for an hour trying to name it. So suggestions on names are also appreciated.

I’m going to write this as I did in my notebook when taking down my thoughts so it might not read with much sense so I apologize for that.

Fanfiction:

Prompt #1: This one is still under heavy development so suggestions are welcome as well.

High School AU. Natsu and Lucy are on polar opposites of the school ladder. Lucy Heartfillia is a brainiac that likes to keep her head low and stay out of trouble. Focusing solely on her school work and her dreams of becoming a writer, forgoing the usual high school routine. Then there’s Natsu Dragneel, the school’s double-sided coin. He love’s to cause all sorts of mischief with his pranks, but he also happens to be one of the star players on the basketball team. He believes that life is meant to be exciting and fun, so he surrounds himself with friends and fans as he pushes himself to the limit. Two people that shouldn’t have anything in common actually share one secret. They both spend the night hours playing online video games and it is in this virtual world that the two first meet. Becoming fast online friends without knowing who the other is, the two share things about themselves that they never would anyone else. It’s also in this world that Lucy starts to fall for the mystery player, only knowing that he happens to go to her school. But what happens when the two are paired up for a school project and become friends outside the virtual world? Or when Lucy discovers that Natsu is her mystery player?

Prompt #2: This was going to be the original AU in Magic, but then that story took a different direction and this seemed to have it’s own world and feel so I put it on a shelf as its own project. I’m still building the world and the idea of houses so again bear with me. This is also based heavily on some of my favorite novels.

Lady Lucy is the daughter of the House Hearfillia, the wealthiest house in Magnolia. Every man that comes in contact with the buxom blonde instantly wants to claim her for their own arm. However she only has eyes for one man. Lord Loke of the Celestial House. He is handsome and charming, everything she’s made herself believe she wants in a husband. She is in love with the man, but due to their feuding fathers, Loke makes Lucy promise to wait until he can convince their fathers of their love. It’s during this time that they have a shadow courting, stealing moments together that a new challenger arrives.

Natsu Dragneel is not of any noble house, but has made a name for himself within the town. He runs one of the largest industries in the town, manufacturing more than half the technology that the town runs on. It’s his brilliant mind and past that drove him to such success at a young age. He happens to meet Lady Lucy at a charity event and writes her off as another simpering fool. That is until she gives him a setdown that shows off her sharp mind and tongue. Natsu decides that in that moment he has finally found the woman worthy of being his wife.

It doesn’t matter to him that she is ‘in love’ with another. He knows that she belongs with him and goes through several lengths to finally make her his. But when she finds out about the betrayal he delivered in order to obtain her she vows to never forgive him and to hate him for the rest of her life. So the battle of wills begins and the loser risks their most precious possession. Their Heart.

Prompt #3: This one is still really under-developed so I’m not sure if it’ll turn into a full project, but I still wanted to include it.

Natsu and Lucy have been the best of friends for their entire lives, having grown up together. They know everything about the other and it’s the classic tale of unspoken love. At least for Lucy it is. She can never be sure how Natsu feels because he’s also the school’s playboy, having dated nearly every girl in the school. Except her. So she’s convinced herself that he only sees her as a little sister. Senior year of college is the year she’s decided that she’ll forget about her feelings and find someone else. But fate is a cruel mistress.

During the yearly party on the last day of Summer Vacation the boys are having their usual fun, drinking more than they should. So when Natsu and Gray start arguing and boasting at one another it turns into the worst of nights for Natsu. Gray claims that he is better than Natsu at everything, including women. Natsu laughs and bets Gray that he could get any woman to fall in love with him during their final year. Gray bets Natsu that he has to get the next woman who walks into the bar to fall in love with him. Natsu agrees and turns to see who his victim is. So imagine his surprise when a very familiar blonde walks in wearing her usual smile.

That’s it for the fanfiction ideas. The third one is my least favorite and will probably fall off my lists unless people actually want to read it. So let me know what you want to read of these.

Original Works: These are my original ideas that will be posted on Wattpad and Writerscafe. I’m trying something new this year along with my usual style so please give me your opinions on these as well and be sure to follow me on the two sites listed. I would really appreciate it and like I said if you want to spread the word I’d be eternally grateful.

Prompt #1: This one may seem familiar. That’s because I’ve pulled it off the shelf I placed it on and want to try again. Maybe with a few changes I can actually get it to work.

Naoki Yoshida is a first year student ready to start her high school career. She has a plan for how her life will go. Something that she’s been perfecting since middle school. She has a secret checklist that she plans to use to find the perfect boyfriend so that she can have the perfect high school romance. Obsessed with anything romance related, she uses it to construct her list and then profiles every male she comes into contact with to ‘rate’ him.

There’s only one other person who knows about this list. Her best friend Asami Honda, another first year who thinks her friend is off her rocks. She’s quiet and calmer than her overly energetic best friend and acts as not only her listening ear, but also the voice of reason in her life. Despite her misgivings about this little list, she still helps her with her crazy plans because she likes to observe how things turn out.

Plan in hand and everything set for her Naoki is ready to find herself the perfect romance. So imagine her surprise when she runs into an interesting problem. Another person from her past happens to be attending the same school as her. Kyoya Tajima was always the bane of her existence. He may be her older brother’s best friend and a second year at her high school, but she has grown to despise the smug boy. He is always pointing out her flaws and making fun of her antics whenever he gets the chance. She knows that someone like him is the exact opposite of who’d she’d want. But will her attitude change when he starts to show the qualities of her checklist one-by-one? What happens when she realized that her perfect romance may not be so perfect after all?

Prompt #2: This one is a lot like the first as it was born from my love for anime romances and my habit of binge watching shows. Also the characters in here are based off some real-world people I know.

Ryuu Yoshida has grown up cold just as his tycoon father taught him to be. Ryuu sees people as nothing but tools to be used for his benefit, not associating with anyone that can’t offer him something in return. However he is forced to ask for help when his final year of high school comes and he starts failing one class. Instead of admitting his weakness to his father, he turns to the school to find him a tutor. It’s through this path that he meets Natsumi Kimoto.

Natsumi is another fourth year at their high school who has big dreams for her future. Wanting to be the first in her family to go to university and plans to take every opportunity to polish her resume. So she gladly accepts the chance to take a tutoring job on the side, not knowing the kind of trouble her pupil is going to give her at first.

But over the course of their sessions, friendship slowly starts to blossom and Ryuu starts to realize that maybe some people are worth having around. Could Natsumi be the girl to thaw his frozen shell and find the real person he was meant to be?

Kind of how I am with my latest chapter of ‘Magic’ since there haven’t been too many reviews so I’m a bit worried, but trying to stay positive that people are just busy with holiday after-math.
