Learn to love the writing, of telling a story that you want told, and not the recognition that comes with it. When skill and passion atrophy, write for yourself, and in time, you'll inspire others.

    Calling all my Former Proofreaders

This goes out to everyone who has helped me with my stories these past few years. Firstly, thank you so much, I could never have gotten as far as I have without you. You've been inspirational, a pick-me-up, and oftentimes good friends when it came to what I was writing and dealing with, as have all the fans who have read my works. Again, I thank you all for being there with me through

    Major Update

Wow, it's been nearly a year since my last blog post. Time sure has flown this year, what with two jobs, a lot of work on some of my stories, and a great deal of time spent trying to make sure it all comes together.

    Commissions and Rules

Should I take them? I have been contacted in the past concerning them, though decided against it at the time, and would be tickled pink if people actually wanted me to do such. However, I would likely have a few ground rules.

New Year's Resolution · 4:30pm Jan 1st, 2016

All righty then, the beginning of 2016. First year in a very long time where I have no school to look forward to, just new job prospects. A nice change of pace of exams and such, but no less stressful.

Anyways, this is a new year, and I aim to do much in it where my writing is concerned. Let me see...

[ ] Write and then publish at least one chapter of A Dragon's Journey every month (seriously, I need to get back on that)
[ ] Get working on a revamp of White Squall, preferably changing it up a bit so it flows better and/or is better written (still have the whole thing planned out, just need to write it dammit)
[ ] Work on various sequels to fics I already have, if I feel like it
[ ] Perhaps try my hand at making art for my own stories
[ ] Look up how to make money off of my writing and such
[X] Publish a new story for 2016
[X] Work on non-pony writing (in progress, see an earlier blog post)
[X] Release first 2016 blog post
[ ] Try my hand at different story genres (sad, dark, 2nd person, etc)
[ ] Write more short stories (under 15K words)

Well, so far so good. Let's see what the new year has to bring, shall we?

:ajsmug: you little cheater, writing three resolutions you already did.

I am very much in favor of the first resolution though.:moustache: need my fix for that stuff. Same for sequels to some of your fics

Although what do you mean by making money? Like sending original work to a magazine or something? Because that's gonna take some work to do. Best of luck though.

3656464 Yeah, making an original piece or something for an article. I've been urged by several people to try and find a way to have my writing make money, so I'll be looking into that.

Good luck with those resolutions. Personally, I would like to see Estranged continued and find out what happened to the rest of The Problem (why the abrupt ending?:fluttershysad:).

3656760 Well, I kinda started working on the next chapter a long time back, but got sidetracked with life. It's still waiting for me, somewhere on my laptop, judging me...

Maybe, if I get the urge to, or set out to, I'll finally finish it.

3656493 then we can both do it together. I'm going to try to get a sci story published if possible but I want to try to see what else I can learn from my fiction class this semester.

So far, I know that I should try to read recent issues, and I am, but they are much stranger than I thought. Makes me wonder what I'm going to do. More research is needed.
