Top Five Things I Will NEVER Write

I've written a lot of things since I joined this sight back in 2012, and I've dipped my toes into quite a lot of things. But there are some things I don't intend to ever write, either because they are not something I'm comfortable with, or simply because I feel there would little point in writing something.

5. Ship Fics Featuring Popular Mane Six Pairings, With Romance as the Focus
There's probably no such thing as an overdone ship, but I kind of beg to differ at least when it comes to the mane six. There are certain popular pairings between them that have been done by countless other authors, so if people are really looking for a certain pairing they can look for those specific pairings. I know that "Fluttershy and Rainbow's Little Foal" featured FlutterDash, but that ship was not the focus, hence the lack of a romance tag.

4. Torture Porns
For those of you who don't know what a torture porn is, it's basically a term used to describe fics or works of art that put a character through as much pain, suffering, and misfortune as possible and usually without doing something to justify the universe turning on them. And it's not comedic over the top slapstick stuff, I'm talking having a character lose a valueable item or be denied all happiness simply because of something they did. It's one thing to want to punish a character for their misdeeds appropritely, but it's another thing entirely when they either do nothing to justify their pain, or lose everything for no good reason. You will note that even before she was reformed, I never wrote any fics where the intent was specifically to torture Diamond Tiara nonstop. And I've no intention of doing that to Spoiled Rich, Svengallop, or any other characters. No matter how much they might deserve it.

3. Crossovers With Shows/Movies/Games That Have Been Done to Death
Certain franchises have been crossedover with FiM so many times that it's starting to get a little bit ridiculous, especially in the realm of animes like Dragonball, Sailor Moon, and Naruto. Even if I've seen a lot of shows, when I write crossovers I want them to be with shows that haven't really been crossedover much with FiM, so they'll feel unique and hopefully stand out more as a result.

2. Displaced Stories/Stories Involving Transporting to Equestria While in Costume At A Convention
Stories like that have been so often, and they all tend to include the same elements. As someone who has made an effort to avoid jumping onto bandwagons, just to become popular and/or featured, I've no intent of writing stories involving mysterious costumes and being transported to Equestria while in said costumes.

1. Clop Fics
I'm just going to come out and say that I have not been in any sort of romantic relationship as of this writing, and even if I do I've little intent to try and write clop fics just because of my experiences. At best, I may sometimes hint at sexual actions that go on in the background, as I did with "Fluttershy and Rainbow's Little Foal", "To Love The Alicorn of Love", and "Wub Radio Part 2". But above all things, I know for certain that I will NEVER write clop. Not now, and not ever!
