D=S-M 2 (Working Title) Sneak Preview. · 2:36am Dec 27th, 2015
I have good news fans and haters of D=S-M! Chapter 1 is almost complete and Chapter 2 is quickly on its way! Now, don't expect much too soon. I am not going to be so bold as to stick a time to post on this thing yet, since its still in the "editing" phase, but, I can assure you it has been written and fleshed out and... I REALLY enjoyed what has happened so far.
There has been previous posts been thrown about and suggested that it is mostly a Chryssie/Trixie sort of arc and while this will be somewhat true, that, may very well be a standalone fic that will bridge the gap between DSM 1 & 2, since there's a bit of a time-skip.
Again, everything is a little up in the air, but I can assure you DSM 2 is almost up and running, with the Chryssie/Trixie post being written as well.
My brain hurts.

“The numbers?” Midnight finally spoke, her head turning to the right just enough to glance a serpentine, crimson eye back at the black armored clad earth pony.
“We lost jus’ over half of the gryphon troops, as expected, but… Ah can’t begin to imagine how much we gained… if we take into account our casualties including Equestria’s-”
"I want exact numbers. I don’t work off of estimates, you know that as much as anypony.”
The black helmed pony dipped her head. “Ah’ll make sure everything is properly tallied to ya exacting specifications…” Taking a few steps forward, she turned her armored head up to try and glimpse the face of the alicorn that partially obscured within that hood. “Midnight?”
It was forever bleak of emotion, as usual. Much had changed her. But then, much had changed between them. Their once peaceful and straightforward lives was forever turned up on its head, never to be the same again.
When there was no response, save the same exact haunting stare, the black armored pony shook her head. “Twi’, please, don’t do this silent treatment stuff to me now… Ah knew what was going to happen when this war started, but this… this is… isn’ this going a little too far?”
Midnight turned on the spot to fully face the smaller pony, her face softening a touch in doing so. “No, Applejack. This is merely not far enough… no…” She glanced towards the darkened horizon, glaring. “Not far enough for what I have planned.”
Lowering her head, Applejack nodded. “Ah understand. Ah’ll be right here besides you no matter what and Luna will pay for what she did to us. She will get what she deserves. Ah promise you that… but this? This is… it’s almost evil...”
“Is it? When we are doing what we can to survive while trying to overthrow a tyrant that has quite literally brainwashed everypony into thinking she is as benevolent and caring as Celestia used to be? When in fact she was the mastermind behind her assassination and the subsequent framing of my good reputation?”
“She will answer to justice, Ah swear it on my life. But surely there has to be another way?”
“No. There is no other way. Her trial will be sweet… and her execution? All the more sweeter when we march upon Canterlot and take it back from her.” Midnight smirked darkly, turning about to walk towards the ranks of the groaning undead. “I will see you tonight, Applejack. Don’t be too late.”
