I'm honestly not sure why your stories are "controversial".
Like admittedly I haven't read Six Trans Mares yet but if anything that seemed maybe old-shame writing, not controversial, because it's an early story and very rarely are early stories as good as later ones. I've got Excuses,,, Excuses as a favorite at the moment. One of my favorite shipping stories on the site.
Like, is writing about trans shit just "controversial" now because politicized existence, because we've written the M6 with basically every configuration of sexual identity plausible on this site and nobody gave two shits about that.

Honestly... Sometimes I feel like the admins don't like some of my themes so I spend a lot of my time trying to slip stuff that's really important to say past the radar. The story I submitted this time had basically nothing 'controversial' (read: anything that involves trans existence), but I have a bad track record when it comes to predicting what sort of stuff is going to freak people out so I've just stopped making assumptions.
And as for Six Trans Mares... I'm going to say something pretty 'controversial' right here, but I liked that story a bunch. There's a lot of blunt stuff in there, but... Being trans is such an incredibly shitty experience made worse by nearly everyone else around you*** that it's basically impossible to talk about it seriously without being blunt.
I think Excuses... Excuses... is easier for people to get into because AJ's such heavy stealth that she's not nearly as affected by all that stuff. Also it's not the main focus of the narrative. Six Trans Mares is about how shitty it is to be trans. Excuses... Excuses is about how AJ needs to move on and realize that being in a terrible situation is not an excuse for hiding all your talents away from the world... Being trans is just a contributing factor to her nasty situation.
Well... Sort of, they're both about a lot of things.

I Will just offer you some support, that drama and that shitstorm over your "brotherhooves social"-story was totally uncalled for and something you definitely didn't deserve. And it surprised me that profilic writers and Staff on this site Would be so... stupid. (I read The comments)
I must say though, as a reader of sig trans mares when it came out, I do agree with some of The critisism (Luna appeared to early in my opinion), but The story you wanted to tell is really good. And I think I get what you were trying to do.
Sorry, rambling. English is not my first language and I fel clumsy.
In short: please don't stop writing. The World needs your transgendered ponies.
