Review Roundup: December 7th - 18th · 4:12am Dec 21st, 2015
Do you ever have people start noticing a particular story of yours, seemingly for no reason? Because I've had four or five people add The Showmare's Tale to their libraries in the past couple of days, and I have no idea why. I mean, I guess it was probably linked to somewhere, but I don't know where. If any of you happen to have the answer, I'm always curious to see what people are saying about my writing, even if it's some of my older stuff.
And on the subject of people liking to know what other people say about writing... here's what I've spent the last two weeks saying about peoples' writing! If you haven't visited One Man's Pony Ramblings recently, here's what you missed:

Friday, December 18, 2015: Fandom Classics Part 140: Awakening
My review of solocitizen's tale of a far-future pony society where magic is nothing but a story told to foals... and an interplanetary shipper who can hear Twilight Sparkle speaking in her head.
Yes.
All the time, yes.
Please, people, tell authors where you found their story if you came from somewhere unusual.
I get bursts of activity on other stories when I update anything. Sometimes, it's really nice.
You are the quintessential reason why that happens to other authors Chris and for that, I salute you
Thank you for reviewing my story. I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as you did.
If I may ask, how did my story end up in your line-up?
You say that like you can't just click the "Statistics" button and get a color-coded pie chart of every link to your story.

But that doesn't track intra-FiMFic linkage! If someone, say, posted a link to me in a FiMFic blog, or put my story on their frontpage, the referral links don't tell me that.

I frequently trawl FiMFic for stories that look interesting, and I like Yaks. I found yours by typing "yaks" into the stories search bar--nothing more exciting than that, I'm afraid. Glad you appreciated the review!

Well, I'm hardly complaining; people reading my stuff is always nice. I'm just a little confused, because it's a fairly old story. Still, it's always pleasant to see those little notifications pop up, innit?
