    PoNoWriMo :(

So Everfree happened. I had an absolutely fantastic time and met a bunch of fantastically awesome people. I also entered a speedwriting competition and then epically failed at both understanding the prompt and writing a one-shot. I am not a good one-shot writer. I write long stories. It's just my style.

    LAPTOP!

I'm actually writing this blog post as I'm writing the next chapter of Direction, jumping between the two when I get stuck on the chapter. That will probably be why it feels so disjointed.

Fun with stupid summer camp activities

It's nearly 1 AM and I'm working in the morning so I gotta be quick.

I had a little too much fun writing this last chapter, mostly because it gave me an opportunity to make fun of all the stupid things my camp counselors did when I first arrived at summer camp. I didn't actually make fun of too much of it, but I still definitely enjoyed myself a little more than I usually do.

Can you tell I'm not happy? I hope you can tell I'm not happy. I'm not happy. Did I tell you I'm not happy?

Okay, I've run out of ways to phrase that. Let's move on to the why.

LAPTOP! · 8:04am Aug 16th, 2012

I'm actually writing this blog post as I'm writing the next chapter of Direction, jumping between the two when I get stuck on the chapter. That will probably be why it feels so disjointed.

So on the sucky side of things I haven't written anything the past two days. That's unfortunate. My day count is now down to 16, and with Everfree happening this weekend my chances of actually succeeding at the challenge of PoNoWriMo are quickly slipping out of my grasp. I'm up to a daily word count goal of 2,750, significantly larger than the typical NaNoWriMo daily word count goal of 1,667.

On the awesome side of things, I GOT A LAPTOP!!! A bit belated at this point, since it would've primarily been useful on that family trip, but this now means I can write while sitting in line at Everfree, or while on the bus. This is why I don't feel too guilty about kind of taking my planned Everfree break these last few days instead of at, y'know, Everfree. I say Everfree a lot. Everfree. Everfree Everfree Everfree. Did you know I'm going to see Alex S and Silva Hound live? Well I am. Holy crap I'm going to see Alex S and Silva Hound and Mic the Mic and wow. Also voice actors. I should probably stop typing.

This next chapter in Direction is dangerously close to the chapter I got stuck on in Summer because it involves introducing a bunch of side characters to the readers in a party-like format. The fun part is I don't entirely know which side characters are even going to show up. I already threw Surprise in there randomly, which I didn't expect going into chapter two but okay, and I'm getting better at coming up with pony names. I've tossed a few around that might be good for my OC, actually. I'm pretty happy about acquiring that skill.

Anyway I've got work and it's late so I'm gonna save what I got here (only 1k words, boooo) and read some End of Ponies before falling asleep. See you all tomorrow (hopefully probably).
