The trick is (and this is why you can actually do this at home with your own wireless router if you're a lazy faggot unable to get to a McDonald's) that the Hoopa distribution is keyed to any wireless Internet connection named "McDonaldsFreeWifi".

Yeah, you change the router's name. Then, you have to connect to the new name on your 3DS.

Even more advanced folks can change the MAC address of their router to one on the project homepass list (google it), get a pile of street passes, change the MAC address again, and repeat...

3618017 You do have to change your router's SSID and set it to work without a password as an open connection. There are instructions on this all over the web, just google "get hoopa without going to mcdonalds".

3618262 Yeah, it's a lot of pointless trouble to go through for a Pokemon you'll probably never even use. I mean, if McDonalds wasn't a quarter mile from Walmart and on the way home from somewhere I was already going anyway, I would honestly not have even bothered.
