Part 1
The location of “The Magical land of Equestria”

My little pony takes place in the land of Equestria, the magical land of ponies. Now since this is “the magical land of ponies” which isn’t a place that sounds like it couldn’t be a place on earth, there are a few variables to consider. For example, take a look at the map of the known world Equestria by Vikonaut on deviant Art shown below

The Equestria we know in the show is ¼ of the map shown in this image. I know it’s a bit blurry, but take a look at the structure and agricultural appearance of this world, I ask you… does this look like our earth. I’m positive you're answer is NO, but this basically means that Equestria is in fact, an entirely separate and potentially smaller or larger world then our earth. Now this is difficult to prove, as there are a couple of star systems in our Milky Way Galaxy that have been proven to support life. They're names are… Kepler20 and Glease51 they both have at least 1 or 2 planets that support life, and either star system could potentially hold our target planet, Equestria.

Part 2
The residents of Equestria, the portal in MLP Equestria Girls and the technology of both worlds

So we know so far the Equestria is another world entirely, but what do we know about the people. Well… we know that they are ponies, and there are 4 known species of pony in Equestria, but how did they come to be? Well if we neglect the fact that it's got to do with timing and good pure old reliable luck for evolution, there probably most likely was alot of magic involved that we never knew about until recent times in history. We also know that there is a parallel dimension where the ponies of Equestria are humanoid and bipedal, and have what looks like 1990’s technology, but how does this explain how Equestria’s people came to be? Take a look back into the show and compare cultural appearance of the movie Equestria girls and MLP FiM. The homes and buildings in both media are strikingly different from each other. And the technology that is seen in the show is certainly similar to the technology seen in the 1930’s to the 1960’s to as far as the 1980’s, but how does this explain the two worlds of the show and the movie? Well… this means the portal in Equestria girls is a time portal that goes to time when humans discovered Equestria, or a dimensional portal that leads to another place where humans on earth never evolved and instead god in that dimension decided to create a species similar to another from a different universe. Either choice represents a plausible solution for the explanation of both worlds. But Twilight Sparkle turning human in Equestria Girls is still unexplained. I ask you, how did she turn human in Equestria Girls? Well it’s likely because Twilight’s fictional pony form couldn’t exist in the separate reality of the world in Equestria Girls, so to circumvent this; the portal changed her form in order to blend in with the inhabitants of this separate reality that I’ve simply dubbed… the 5th dimension.

Part 3
The Ever-free forest

Did you hear in the first couple episodes of season 1, when one of the mane 6 said, and I quote “this place doesn’t behave the same way as Equestria does”, and when twilight says that “the castle of the two sisters lies in what is now, the ever-free forest”? Well that could be the cause of something that was sent to Equestria by another world. Here’s how that might have happened. When our earth gradually starts to burn away is natural resources, the earth will need to colonize a new world. And what do we find? Kepler20 and Glease51!!!! We chose one of those star systems, and sent a colonization ARC Ship to that world to colonize the world with humans. But something went wrong… the ship arrived right at about the same time as the time when princess Celestia had imprisoned princess Luna in the moon of Equestria. On Luna way up While she was forced up, the force and speed of Luna’s escape from the Planets gravity, the ship was in orbit at the time, the ship was right between the moon and the planet, and Luna just happened to hit the ship when she was at that point where the ship was, it got hit and fell into the planets atmosphere, and at re-entry the frozen plant samples melted and got exposed to radiation in the fires of re-entry. Combine that with the magic of the world, and you get a plant that grows out of control on landing to the surface of the world and gradually colonizing a baron part of the world of Equestria that just happened to have been there, and the ship happened to suddenly crash landed in that region. Well the result is… a pant infestation that happens to be growing a forest right around the castle of the two sisters. And why it hardly effects the castle, and because it isn’t taking over the land of Equestria, is because the magic of that world is keeping the forest at bay for the foreseeable future. Until some one comes to fix the problem.
