Hiatus all day err day! · 2:08am Dec 12th, 2015
This is bad. Really, really bad. Like, catastrophic bad.
Looking at the statuses of my works, I've realize something that I should have had realized sooner.
There are too many works which had the status 'On Hiatus' plastered all over it. Like someone had thrown an entire bucket full of paint into your face.
And it ain't a good thing.
I love to create. Creating new stories is one of them. I enjoy being able to convey new thoughts and ideas into writing. It gives me a small sense of pleasure and pride when finishing the first chapter of these stories and seeing them being published on this website. Like a father watching their daughter finally learning how to ride a bicycle.
But I'm also lazy. My laziness levels are really off the charts here. I've created so much new stories that I find it difficult to continue them. Not that I don't want to, mind you. It's just....arrrghgh!
Well that probably didn't make much sense to you. I was just trying to express my frustration, through readable words.
I really wish I can focus on properly finishing one story before moving on to another. The more I create, the more frustrated I will become, because with every new story I create would mean abandoning the ones I already have. And sooner or later they will be buried underneath thick layers of figurative dust.
I don't want that to happen. Really, I don't. And I know not finishing my current works would disappoint my fellow readers who'd followed the stories for so long. It's like getting a nice...hot dog, only without the hot dog, know what I mean?
Anyway, just expressing my thoughts on this matter. I'm trying to think of a way to properly manage my time and to do some typing for my previous works and getting them finished for once. I don't want to leave things unfinished or, using a much simpler word, on hiatus.
P.S. I want to give audio reading a go, try something new, you know? My voice isn't exactly the sexiest in the world, of course. But I feel like contributing more to the FIM community. And it might be fun too, only time will tell. But if any of you have a work you want read, let me know and we'll see how'd things work out.
It might be best that you focus on one work at a time, and try to finish one each. I'd suggest you start with a story that is your most popular.
