I'd like a coke, fry, and cheeseburger, with a side of lemon slices to go, please. · 4:41pm Aug 15th, 2012
Okie-Dokie-Lokie...
So, I've been jotting down ideas for the future chapters. With school starting in only five days, The BEN Chronicles may soon be experiencing potential slowdowns. Now, I'm not one for writing this kind of thing, although, I HAVE done it before, and I don't find myself too terrible at it. So, what the fuck am I doing?
*drumroll*
I've been bouncing around the idea of a lemon segment, if you haven't figured out from the title already. For those who read the story, you can probably already figure out who those involved would be. Now you may say, 'go ahead and do it, it's your story, man', but that's the problem.
I. Can't. Decide.
I'm one to flat-out despise clop. I don't support it by any means, but at the same time, I've read some suggestive works here that are, actually quite good. That said though, the biggest problem that stands in the way is that this kind of work is hit-or-miss. Not saying I'm not capable of it, I most certainly can pull it off, but I want to know if it'll hurt the story by more or less, being arbitrarily placed.
Secondly, how to write it.
I can easily write this in any perspective necessary. Unfortuantely, with the work being mainly in first person (to stay in line with the BEN Drowned story) It tends to make things very one sided, which is NOT healthy for erotic writing. I COULD do a third-person perspective, but that could run a risk of botching the entire thing. Like I said, it's hit or miss. So the problems that sit in my way are as follows
I despise clop, but I CAN write it, and write it well.
I fear it could undermine the integrity of the story if I don't present it in the proper form (perspective and whatnot)
I will be having a co-writer on this project if you guys are up for it (to help present a more 'level field' between character interaction, but at the same time, writing styles may conflict the piece.
I never found human-cross shippings a big deal. Human NSFW seems to be fine in the community, but the actual relationship portion is looked down upon. This I find extremely strange. Whatever the case, these are the reasons for so much hassle and confusion.
It's up to you, what should I do with this?
