Concert Band Music _8_

That's right, I'm starting this back up again! :D
I've been getting into some pretty pretty awesome new songs lately with my band and I was going through my blogs and saw these... My god the memories.
Now I know that blogs (at least mine) aren't really viewed as often as they used to be and I know that only probably a few of you folks will even see this, but as much as I want to share the music I play this is also a neat way for me to catalog the past music I've played! I actually listened to one of the other songs I had listed here and was like "huh, I forgot how much I liked this song..."

Anyways, this song is one called Arabian Dances~ It's one of the songs that we did in Honor Band actually (for those who don't know, Honor Band is when the best players of differing sections from all across the state are hand picked from their bands and all put into one single concert band. We meet for two days and are tasked with completely getting down certain songs. We had four for this year, two of which I forgot the names of... and this is one of the ones I remember). The sound was absolutely incredible, and the fact we pretty much mastered it in two days kinda astonished me. It's a very fast paced song, and as the name kinda implies, it's something that there would be some kind of dance to like around a large fire, you get the idea. It's personally one of my favorite songs of all time, primarily becasue of the absolutely jaw-dropping trombone bit around 2/3rds in... (and we had almost twenty trombones on the honor band, imagine that~)
