Overall, my dear readers and followers, Season 5 was a fun ride. Great new characters to enjoy, series changing events, fun adventures, pretty decent songs to sing along too, great character development and new character insight, this season had a lot to offer. Not sure which is my favorite season yet, you know between Season 4 and Season 5. Both Seasons have a lot to offer, but I have a feeling Season 6 will be my favorite. I don't know why, but I have a feeling that so many amazing things are going to happen in Season 6. I guess what really held back Season 5 for me was that 1) they could have done a season long story with Starlight being the villain in every two episodes or so, and create a journey to stop her before the season finale came around. 2) Even though at least 70% of the episodes were amazing, there were some episodes that were not necessarily bad but just fell flat when it had great potential or an interesting start.
(This List will be based on not only the individual scores I gave to each episode, but also how memorable the episode is and how it left an impression on me and how enjoyable it was. The reason why I'm doing it this way is because a lot of the episodes had the same score, so I had to make my decisions based on other reasons.)

I didn't really give each one a score but rather made my decisions based on how much I admire the certain character and whether I want to really see them again in future seasons. Some of the characters may be technically old characters, but they become new to me because these old characters finally get speaking lines and personalities instead of fan headcanon theories on them.)

My Realistic Hopes and Wishes for Season 6(in no particular order)(Note: I don't expect/demand for everything on my list to come true. This is just some ideas that would make me happy if they came true. Just even one or two could make me happy. I'm trying to be realistic in what the staff could actually do with Season 6 along with my own expectations for the series. So keep all of this in mind)
1. As much as I appreciated reformed Starlight Glimmer and want to like her character and definitely looking forward to seeing her in Season 6, but I don't want Starlight's personality to turn out like Sunset's personality in Equestria Girls 2 and 3. I want her to slowly learn friendship, to struggle to find friends outside the Mane Six and perhaps struggle in trying to understand ponies that are waayyy different from her. For example, I would love an episode where she meets Discord:D That would be amazing!:D Anyway, I would also like to see Starlight even struggle with her own ego and how to become more humble. I have feeling that even after reformation,Starlight will still have a bit if a big head;) Especially when it comes to magic;) I want the writers to make her a distinct character, not a complete copy of Twilight or Sunset or Moondancer. Hopefully, if Starlight gets a backstory on how she learned to become to be such a powerful unicorn in the first place, the writers will show us how she can be completely different from Twilight and Sunset and Moondancer.
2. Now that Starlight is reformed, let's cross our hooves for shipping hints or bonding moments between Double Diamond and Starlight:3 <3 I have a feeling that Starlight is going to be visit the little town every now and then, which means buildings friendships and bonds with the town's ponies and our Mane Four (Double Diamond, Party Favor, Sugar Belle, Night Glider). I'm also hoping for Starlight to reunite with her childhood friend SunBurst. I'm curious on how they could rebuild their friendship, get to know Sunburst, and see those two bond over their special magical talents:)
3. A Fluttercord episode and/or at least plenty of Fluttercord moments in Season 6. We got a Fluttercord episode in Season 5, I think it's fair to ask and even predict another one coming our way;) And it's not just for shipping reasons...well...maybe half is for shipping reasons:P But it's also because Fluttershy and Discord just have a great and dynamic friendship that just creates amazing stories/episodes. I love seeing their bond grow, and I hope Season 6 continues down this path. Just like in Season 4 & 5. I'm also curious to have and episode or even one scene focusing on Fluttershy sees her relationship with Discord. Make New Friends But Keep Discord gave us a great insight on how Discord feels about Fluttershy and their relationship(* cough cough, he totally has a crush on her!*), but now it's Fluttershy's turn. Please Season 6, in the name of the Tree of Harmony, please have Discord and Fluttershy talk about how the Tirek Incident in Season 4 effected their relationship!!!!:0 Please!!!! I'm begging youX0
4. In terms of a Discord episode, Spoiler Alert: the staff has confirmed that not only will there be at least one Discord episode, but the confirmed Discord episode is a two parter:D Squeeeee!XD I wonder if it's the season opener or finale or possibly a random in the middle of the season two part episode:D My money is on the third option for some reason. Anyway, according to the staff and John De Lancie, this episode will be a very different kind of MLP episode. It will be darker and something bronies relate to. Here's my prediction: this is the episode struggles to find his true place in life. Discord wants to figure out where he can truly use his chaos for good. He knows his chaos is fun, but what real purpose does it serve in Equestria? Maybe through this , we can have Discord look back at his past to figure out who he truly us and where his chaos can fit in. Discord back story!:D Do some time traveling or flash backs on where Discord came from, who the parents are, and how he came to be the Lord of Chaos. I have a feeling that Discord doesn't really remember his child hood and doesn't know why he doesn't remember. Maybe an event that leads to baby Dissy being separated from his parents caused a memory blank for him because he was so young at the time of the separation. Anyway, I hope that in this episode, Fluttershy helps him through this dilemma and show the audience just how much she cares for him and willing to sacrifice for him. Maybe even Starlight can help with this because she's reformed like Discord and trying to be find her position in the Mane Six and her purpose in helping Equestria. Hopefully, this episode will hint to Discord possibly getting his throne at Twilight's round table in the Season Finale:D
5. Speaking of Discord, again, now that he's friends with the rest of the Mane Six I'm expecting for bonding moments and for him to be properly be part of the Mane Six. Or should I say Mane Nine, if we're counting Discord & Spike & Starlight Glimmer. Also, I'm hoping for Discord to join in for the Mane Six Friendship Round Table Map Adventures:D (Wow, that was mouthful!) I really want the map to call for Discord's help and use his chaotic magic to help other ponies in Equestria and/or other creatures in other kingdoms:3 It would be sooooo a-mazing if the Map specifically paired up Fluttershy and Discord for a Map adventure:D!!!!! YES! MAKE IT HAPPEN HASBRO! Although, it would be interesting and funny if Discord joined Fluttershy and Twilight for a map adventure or Rainbow and Applejack or even Rarity and Pinkie Pie. Speaking of map adventures, just like in Season 5, I have a feeling we'll get more episodes of the Mane Six being paired up two by two for more quests. It would be fun to have Rarity and Pinkie Pie pair up for an adventure:)
6. As for Cutie Mark Crusaders, I'm expecting some fun but adventurous and heart warming episodes based on the Cutie Mark Crusaders fulfilling the destiny of their cutie marks: helping other ponies with their cutie marks:) Even though I have a feeling that most of these adventures will be in Ponyville, I really really want the CMC to travel to different cities in Equestria and help fillies and colts with their cutie marks. I feel like the CMC's destinies are beyond the scope of Ponyville, and they should learn little by little about their own destinies by traveling beyond the lands they know of. I like to think of the CMC as the knights for the Council of Friendship aka The Mane Six. I feel like there's more story opportunities outside of Ponyville.
7. I'm hoping for some episodes with the CMC and Diamond Tiara, and some cute progression on their friendship:3 Maybe we can see some Diamond Tiara struggling to have every pony truly see that she has changed? Maybe we can even have an episode focusing on Diamond trying to amend her friendship with Silver Spoon and trying to have Silver Spoon see that she is better than who she was before? Maybe we can more insight into her family life and give some character development for her dad and her mom?
8. During the Season 5 Premier, I noticed a certain mountain destination on the Map. After seeing the Season 5 finale, my little Where's Waldo was proven correct. I saw a giant horned goat like skull on top of some pointy mountains near the supposed bad land parts of Equestria. I noticed in the Season 5 Finale that the episode was particularly showing a lot of screen shots of this mountain and giant goat like skull. My theory is that the mountains are Scorpan's & Tirek's Kingdom and the skull is their castle. Or should I say, it's Scorpan's kingdom and castle now. I have a feeling, or really really hope that Twilight, Spike, and the rest of the Mane Six will travel to the Bad Lands for a friendship problem called by the Map and meet Scorpan!XD Then, we can get some Scorpan/Tirek back story and even some flashbacks with Star Swirl the Bearded and Star Swirl actually talks in the flashbacks:D Make it happen Hasbro! Make this a plot for either the Season 6 Premier or Season 6 Finale, just make it happen!
9. I'm predicting/hoping that Cadence and Shining Armor having their baby becomes the start of the plot for the Season 6 Premier or Finale or even just one episode getting close to the finale. What I mean is, it's been many many months later, Cadence has just given birth to her new baby. Twilight and the others go to the Crystal Empire to see the new foal. But a new evil arises, it's Sombra and he has found a way to come back to life from the single piece of his horn (which we saw in Season 3;)) and seeks revenge on the Crystal Empire by kidnapping the new baby and Spike.

For Number 5: I really want to see Discord follow two of the mane six on a map quest. It would've been on a Tuesday (The usual day he has tea with Fluttershy) then the map calls her and she has to cancel the tea party. And Discord gets all sad and then decides to hide in her mane and go with her in her and somepony else's quest and then he actually fixes the problem.

4. Where did you get that info?! I have followed John de Lancie on Twitter and he said he did a Discord episode before that two-parter. I always thought that the two-parter was the finale, but nowhere did I see that the episodes were going to be different or even dark! Sorry. I'm freaking out a bit.
Anyway, I would like an episode where Discord represses his emotions and then cries near the end.
My sister and I suspect that the theme for next season might be family. I mean, Fluttershy's brother is coming, the royal baby will be born, so we might get some explanations about Discord and Applejack's backgrounds. I think you are right about the two-parter.

I actually have a bit of a wish for season six myself. :) I really want them to bring back Grogar. He was a G1 villian. A powerful evil sorcer goat with a magic bell. For a season opening i think it would be really cool if they remade the original mlp special from the 80s that featured him.
The basic plot was Grogar was banished from the world along with his evil stronghold of Tambelon to another dimension, but now he and Tambelon have returned and have started capturing the Unicorns. So the gang goes on a quest to rescue their friends and defeat Grogar.
I really think it would be a treat to see that story redone for the modern audience. ^^

4. Well I first saw it on Equestria Daily and Tumblr, and I thought that I saw it on John De Lancie's twitter, but I'm not sure.
In terms of you and your sister's idea for the theme of next season, I think it's an amazing idea because not only is the show possibly exploring things outside of friendship, but like you said, we're getting Fluttershy's brother and we might get background on Discord's family and AJ's family and for the rest of the Mane Six too!

Most of my ideas for Discord is;
1-HAVE HIM ACTULLY FIGHT AGAINST THE VILLAIN

We've seen time and time again where it's mostly the mane 6 fixing the problem, but we need to Discord at his full power. We've seen what his magic can do, but how he uses it in battle in a different manner.
2-His Chaos Dimension also known as "Chaosville" (really it's in the wiki)
We've seen where it is, but we don't know much about it, like it's inhabitants, or way of running things.
3-MAKE HIM JUST HAVE CAMEOS IN THE BACKROUND
We don't have many episodes with Discord, because they can't always have JDL. But making an episode memorable is having him just there. It can be like the whole Cheerilee and Big Mac thing. Have him and Fluttershy just be walking together or something.

My only hope for season 6 is learning more about dragons, exploring dragon territory, Spike's origin, and maybe see Garble again. I mostly just want to see his reaction to the crystal statue of Spike in the Crystal Empire.

I can't really give an opinion of Season 5 as a whole because I still haven't seen all the episodes (because I'm the laziest MLP fan in the universe) but from what I've been able to gather I think it was probably about the same as the earlier seasons: Mostly good episodes with an occasional dud here or there, but not enough duds to ruin the whole season.
I don't really have any theories on what will happen in Season 6 but once again I'm holding out hope that we can get some more Fluttercord fuel. You can never have too much Fluttercord fuel.
As for your reviews, I enjoyed reading them, and would like to hear(or read) your thoughts on Season 6 as well.
Oh, and it's not really a hope or wish for Season 6 or any other possible seasons, but (I might have mentioned this before) if Discord ever shows up in an episode wearing anything like his DwtDT getup, I'm going to laugh like a lunatic.

I like your idea of us getting to see how Fluttershy views their relationship. I mean, the more that I think about it, we haven't really gotten into her head all that much when it comes to their relationship. In "Keep Calm and Flutter On" it seems like Discord has her completely fooled for a good bit of the episode and then towards the end we learn that she's actually seen right through him all that time. (It sort of reminds me of when they do mysteries where the story is seen through the eyes of different character than the main detective.) And its pretty obvious his betrayal in "Twilight's Kingdom" really hurt her. (I agree, I want to see them have some sort of discussion on that! It can add so many interesting layers to their relationship so take advantage of it Hasbro! Take advantage of it!)
