Random Idea #27 · 6:11pm Nov 24th, 2015
Why hasn't anyone used the G-man as a plot point? Mysterious person, plucking heroes out of the air, a time warper, teleporter, etc. Seems like it would be interesting.
Looming endgame that you aren't sure you really want, since the moment you win, the G-man might be looking over your shoulder, ready to take it all away and drop you into a new assignment.
Probably because it near forces a Half-Life crossover.
It's been rather heavily hinted that the G-Man is a major player in that whole universe, after all. The whole a dozen drug supped-up Vertigons to make him loose track of Gordon for half a game thing, I mean, let alone the constant impossible voyeurism.
It is a neat idea for a multi-franchise crossover, though.

Well, for one thing, it doesn't have to be the same G-Man. Could be part of an organization, considering he can stop time at will and teleport anyone anywhere.
Heh, that's basically how I'm going to excuse why this random person named Alan Tyler doesn't seem too surprised ending up working for a bionics corporation, and adapt absurdly well to the cybernetic arms he gets stuck with.
