Well that was interesting. · 7:09pm Nov 17th, 2015
I'll start this blog off with an explanation.
Some of you may have noticed that wall of deleted comments that happened on Hindsight yesterday, and some of you are probably wondering what the heck happened with that anyway.
Well, I can tell you that it was not just me getting hurt and deleting comments that opposed my opinion. It was actually an argument between to of my friends, one who supports Cheerimac, and another who supports Marblemac. You can kinda see where that went.
I asked them to stop polluting my comments over skype, to which they agreed, but not before both of them went and deleted all of their own comments. I still don't understand why they did that, but all I know is that it leaves that rather ugly wall of deleted comments that only serves to reflect negatively on me. I've been asked about that several times now, and I can assure everyone, I do not delete comments for no reason. It was not my doing, it was not my intention, and I hope you all can see that.
Now then, on to something a little more positive! It looks like Hindsight hasn't done too badly so far!
It's not giving back nearly the ratio that Learning Curve or No Longer a Doppelganger did, but I expected that. It goes against the new hot thing, so there's bound to be downvotes involved.
I also want to say hello and welcome to all of you who decided to give Hindsight, and by extension me, a try. The update will be going live at about four o'clock Central time, and I hope to see you all there!
I need a friggin' drink right now...
It'll get going on up there. It's a relatively light story at just under 2K in words that is still painting the situation and not a ton of substance. Most likely, it's on a lot of watch lists, and people are waiting for more content to decide on what to do with the story. It's like trying to decide if your steak dinner is going to be good and you've only gotten to the roll that comes with the salad of the appetizer.
Once you get additional chapters up, it'll pick up and get going. Especially when or if drama gets involved, and the comment thing will be overlooked as that happen and people will just sit back and enjoy the story.
That's stupid.
Not you, the comments thing.
Ah, that blows.
On the bright side, at least your story provokes thorough discussion. I get two or three comments a chapter, tops.
Do not underestimate the fury with which fans prosecute their shipping wars...
