    The Hula

I want to talk about the Hula. No, seriously, the Hula dance. A few months ago, I got to attend, for the first time ever, our university's annual luau. The Hula does not have any crazy acrobatics or rapid gyrations. Instead, the Hula is slow, gentle, and peaceful, with music that inspires the soul, and gestures that sweep away language and culture barriers.

    I am Procrastinate

So we've long passed my self-imposed deadline for getting Book 2 out. I need about 3 good hours of concentration, and I can't honestly remember the last time I had 3 good hours to concentrate on anything :P~

    So close!

Book 2 is pretty much ready--I need to give it a once-over for continuity and smoothness, but I expect to have it up this weekend.

    Slow and Steady

Okay, the good news is I made a big BIG push on book 2 of Man o' the Moon last week, and I'm in the final stages now. I think another moderate push is all it will take to get this one ready. I expect to have it online in about 2-3 weeks.

Dreaming alongside Rainbow Dash · 9:09pm Aug 12th, 2012

I had a bizarre experience this morning, which I chalk up to Googly weirdness combined with my lack of sleep last night. Through some strange series of events, my Google Drive list was temporarily populated with a story about Rainbow Dash. I was using my iPhone to browse FimFiction, and maybe I clicked on it through a link to unpublished stories or something--I don't remember because I was barely awake. It was beautifully written. In the story, Rainbow Dash falls asleep and dreams of an alternate reality where she was pulling a cart, and her friends were old and decrepit. I left the story, and when I returned to browse my Google Drive, the file was gone, almost as if I had dreamed its very existence. It was a surreal experience. I can't remember the title, so if anyone has seen this story, I'd love to get a link back to it.

what was the story name? and why did it disapear on you?

It's called Somewhere only we know. The writing is lovely. I'm not sure why it vanished. I think the vanishing act had something to do with the API differences between the web client and the mobile client. But at the time it sure seemed cool and far less mundane!
