State of the Mesa · 10:46pm Nov 12th, 2015
Greetings, oh faithful readers mine. It's been a while since I last addressed everyone this way—which was never, for some of you—so I thought it would be a good idea to bring you up-to-speed regarding a number of my unfinished stories. A State of the Mesa, if you will. So with no further ado, let's get right into it, shall we?
For those who wanted more of this, fear not—Rarity's Quest is still very much alive and kicking. Chapter three is written and under review by my prereader, and I've got the rest of the story planned out. It's time to get this ball rolling again, so expect an update soon.
Just like Rarity's Quest, the Kissing Booth is still open for business. The rest of the story is seventy-five percent written; as soon as I hammer out the last little bit, it's gonna get run out for your enjoyment. There's gonna be kissing horses, and chances are good that Pinkie Pie's gonna be one of them.
I feel so terrible for letting this one slide (Blazu, forgive me!). "Short Changeling Heroes" will get the ending it deserves as soon as I take care of the Rarity's Quest and Kissing Booth.
This story was honestly a bit of a mistake. I still love the concept, the name, and the cover-art, but unfortunately I didn't have an end-game envisioned and as such should never have published it. I'll leave chapter one up (because deleting stories rubs me up in all sorts of wrong ways), but it won't be getting any updates. I apologize to those of you who enjoyed this.
Ugh... and now we come to this, my biggest shame on fimfiction. This was my first fanfiction (like, ever), and going back I can see all sorts of awfulness that embarrasses me in the way all authors feel when they look at their first crappy story. However, my biggest regret is that I meant to end it at chapter thirteen, but kept on going because of stupid. Well, it's time to rectify that; I've renamed the extra chapters to reflect that they are exactly that—extra, I mean—and marked the story as complete. Again, I apologize to those who enjoyed "Fulfilling", but this has been bugging me for a while.
Going forward, those are my plans regarding the fics-in-progress. Also expect one-shots of all varieties and maybe even some multi-chapter fics (I already have one with an evil kazoo planned out). I'll do my best not to start any more large projects until the ones currently on my slate get wrapped up, but who knows? Maybe I'll think up something goofy that I can't help but write. Regardless, I thank you all for your continued readership and look forward to entertaining you in the future.
Later on!
Holy crap! A wild blog post appeared.
Also, good luck going forward. Resurrecting stories once dead can be a challenge.
Whenever you're ready, brah...
