So, three of 'em are getting included in this blog post. Speaking of which, it's been a while since I've posted one.
Kindness of a Fugitive: Haven't updated this since its inception and the ensuing first chapter. I meant to do that tonight, but Flea's new EP and other interwebness kept me from doing so. A thousand pardons be requested. I shall update either this upcoming week or the next week, but no later. Don't expect me to be regular with this one - I'm writing a lot of other crap, including non-pony stories and the other oneshots I do for this site. Not to mention, school's starting up soon, so... yeah. (Kindness of a Fugitive)
On the Shores of the River: Inspired by my vacation in Ocean City, MD, and my immediately following weekend spent at a river house on a Potomac tributary. I was going for a weird variant on where I think the Elements come from - how they're more than just regular ponies and what not. Pretty stupid when I lay it out like that, but all of you ate it up, so, works for me. I think this is the first story I put the "Sad" tag on, though I think my other oneshots are hardly what you consider happy. I digress.
I woke up the morning after I wrote and sent it in feeling like an idiot. The idea seemed so terrible. But, it seemed to work. Take note, children: after a certain time at night, you should NOT be writing fanfiction. Regardless of how it comes out, you WILL regret it. (On the Shores of the River)
The Receiving End: Not to sound completely butthurt here (I really would hate to do such a thing), but I was hoping for a bit more out of this. My attempt at writing a story with just dialogue. At almost 8K, my initial fear of content subsided. I thought it was a pretty neat idea. But, hey, what the author thinks is cool might not be what the audience feels. Oh well. Have a read of that one, those who are viewing this and haven't seen it. I really did enjoy its idea. (The Receiving End)
That's pretty much it. like subscribe comment Just read the damn blog post, at least. If you want, that is.
Cheers,
A. Tuesday
