Excerpt from a war-torn journal...
"Day nine of NaNoWriMo. The words are flowing well and the stories are beginning to take shape, but at the same time, I feel a nervous tension in the air. I had to burn the last of my planning documents to fuel the fire, so I'm travelling without a map - nothing but a pen and paper and this rusty old compass to guide me. I feel like I'm making progress though. Let's just hope no-one asks me what the story's about..."
Hello fellow National Novel/Pony Writing Month people (and spectators)
My story is going pretty well - it's been a lot of fun to write so far and I'm up to 13620 / 50000 words. I'm a day behind because I didn't get any done on Sunday - I had a long walk back home after an impromptu night of drinking, Twilight's shipfic folder and watching anime. Curse and bless you, Swindon bronies (I totally needed to unwind )
I'm still not completely sure, but it looks like the story is going in the direction of being a Drama with some Mystery elements (I'm going to use the heck out of those new category tags ), with a little action sprinkled in there. Spoiler: Sunset Shimmer kicks ass.
Despite saying I wouldn't, I've also written most of a chapter on A Slice Of Flutterdash, which was really cute and I look forward to sharing in December. So my total wordcount is actually quite a bit higher than described, but I'm not counting that at this point. Fingers crossed that I won't need to, and my EQG fan-novel should hit the 50k mark by the end of November!
Thanks to those who've been supporting and encouraging me thus far. Can't wait to show you what I come up with!
(...Well, I say that now. I'd better wait until I finish the story first, eh? )
