Review of S5E22: "What About Discord?" (minor spoilers) · 5:52pm Nov 7th, 2015
Um.
Zecora's got a funny bit, and there's a brief flash where we get a very strong hint that Discord is still, potentially, a very dangerous character.
Otherwise, there's not much to say. Since being "reformed" (a word I still find strange to use in association with this character), Discord's relationship with the Mane Six has been changing gradually. In their last outing, the one with the Smooze, we see that Fluttershy is the only one who can really relax around him, with Pinkie Pie coming around. Everybody else is skeptical, but they're getting used to the idea of having him around. Here, we've gone from that to everything being just hunky-dory. It kind of feels like it's coming out of nowhere, making most of the episode very awkward.
Definitely the weakest of the current season IMO.
Also, I never, ever, ever want to hear Dash say "silly serpent", or whatever it was, ever again.
