I've been rather lax about noting follower milestones, but this one's kind of special.* When your six hundredth follower is Titanium Dragon of all people, it's definitely something you should commemorate. Thanks go to all of you. I'm glad I've been able to entertain you.

* So special that the blog's title is a D&D pun instead of a Magic pun.

Thanks for writing stuff that makes us want to follow you!

Congratulations!

I wish I got 20 followers for every story I put out. That said, you earned all 600.

ZOMG Titty D is following you too, Foamy? Does this mean we can be "hide under the bed" buddies? :pinkiehappy: Yeah, I know beds don't protect against searing dragon fire, or hide you from all-seeing dragon eyes [1] hanging over your shoulder :pinkiesad2: I just want an excuse to cast Enter the Dungeon :scootangel:

Also, congrats on six hundred!

[1] Or maybe it's a good thing? They are pretty eyes :raritywink:

Pardon me while my mind boggles at how much XP that would pay out

I accept my dragonfire scars with pride, for they mean my work was considered worthy of burnination.

CR 600 would give about 150 googol XP. (More precisely, it's 150 * 2^301.)

3525593 There are pseudo-SI terms in occasional use for the SI prefixes as applied to bytes: 1 kB usually means 2^10 B instead of 10^3, and to reinforce the distinction some people pronounce it "kibibyte" instead of "kilobyte". I can't go by the "smallest power of 1024 greater than the corresponding power of 1000" rule because a googol isn't actually a power of 1000 (being 10 * 1000^33), so I'll just go with a power of 2.
I hereby declare that the smallest power of 2 greater than a googol (10^100), that being 2^333, shall be known as a boogol.

Also, your estimate is, alas, over nine (decimal) orders of magnitude off. 2^301 equals 10^(301 * log_10(2)). The base 10 logarithm of 2 is, to five significant figures, 0.30103, which when multiplied by 301 gives 90.61. A CR 600 encounter would therefore give slightly under 150 nanogoogols of XP.

I nitpick because I care.

And I appreciate it. I was going by 2^3 ≈ 10^1, which in hindsight, will lead to some massive inaccuracies when extrapolated very far. :derpytongue2:

3525593 Wait, there's an actual formula for that?

3526368
Yup. Extrapolating from Table 12-2 on page 398 of the Pathfinder Core Rulebook, it goes like this:

For odd Challenge Ratings: XP = 100 * (2 ^ ((CR + 3) / 2))
For even Challenge Ratings: XP = 150 * (2 ^ ((CR + 2) / 2))

3526603 Neat. Doesn't work with 5e, unfortunately. It seems to have arbitrary XP values for both defeating monsters and leveling up

3525593
Does that mean there ain't gonna be no dungeon slumber party? :applecry:

I must say, those are impressive scars, though, and I've seen a fair bit of exquisite tribal branding. Titty D does go after you repeatedly, and you're one of the few people he does this to :duck: Actually, I should be more surprised he's only following you now. Must've slipped his mind with all his nefarious plans and what have you.
