I'm a liar!
Okay, not really. I got really busy with moving to a new city, graduating from one college and entering another, and all that jazz. Now that life has settled down I can finally get around to going over the epic Training Grounds revision of my fic that I received last year. Why did it take me a year to get around to revising this?
Also -- revising a fic is a long, irritating process. It took me two hours to write chapter one of Summer Sun. It took me six hours to poke through it. At any rate, I agree with most of Kurbz's review. I went through and took care of rogue parenthesis and other punctuation errors, and clipped a good bit of the purple prose. I also toned Dash down a bit, and added in a few things. Dash's character really WAS a bit too arrogant without prompting, so I tweaked her a bit. Also, an entire season has passed since I wrote this. There's been some actual changes that would affect the course of the fic, so I'm setting it before Baby Cakes but after May The Best Pet Win, so Tank is involved. Hoo, boy. I feel rusty, and I hope I know what I'm doing.
That's just bloody chapter one -- I have four chapters to go before I can resume work on chapter six. But I'm going to make those revisions, run it through the Training Grounds again, and then make another attempt at EQD. Why not? : )
