Dying. Funny thing, that. It never happens how you expect it.

    The Quest Next Chapter

Guys, I've written myself into a corner today, but I've made great progress. Once I know how our heroes get out of this predicament, the chapter will be nearly ready. Oh yeah, surprise! I'm not dead! :twilightsheepish:

    9/11 Rememberance

The following passage is the first-hand account of the events that took place immediately after the 11th of September, 2001 written by a Navy Hospital Corpsman, specialized as a Psychiatric Technician:

Friday [14 September] turned out to be a tough day. We all got to NNMC
[National Naval Medical Center at Bethesda, Maryland] early in the morning

    Additions to Dog Days

Hey guys, I'm posting this, because I just added a scene to the latest chapter of The Quest. I didn't have a full chapter for you, but I did decide I left that one unfinished. I unpublished and republished the chapter after I made the additions, but I have no idea if that hit anyone's feed. Nevertheless, I'm working on the next chapter right now, and I'm hoping this extra scene will get you back

    Vacation

Hey, guys. I just wanted to give you all an update. I'm still working on Fallen Angel and editing two other stories right now, but my progress has been slowed by my internet acting up recently. I can't effectively write on my phone. (Trust me, I've tried.) Now my internet is back, but I took leave around my birthday/mother's death day to get away and relax a little. I went to see my dad.

Fallen Angel WIP (sorry for the delay...)

Hey guys, so life has really been kicking me in the ass lately, but I promise you I'm still working on the Painkiller Series. In fact, I just wrote some on Sunday, and I'm working on it again today between tasks at work. I write best at my desk at work for some reason. I haven't the faintest clue why. :derpyderp2:

Well, I got about halfway finished with the latest chapter of Let the Sun Shine, but I won't have nearly as much time to work on it tomorrow. I have a minor surgery scheduled tomorrow. I'm getting most of my right big toenail removed and the root chemically poisoned to never grow again. It's an uncomfortable procedure, even with lidocaine. Still, I've made great progress with this chapter, and it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to claim it could be out some time this week, so get hype! :yay:

Oh shit, that is no good man. I assume it keeps getting ingrown or infected.

On a positive note: woot, Sun Shine!

3516906 It's a hereditary thing for me. This will be the second partial and permanent matricectomy I'll have to get in the past three years. I've had both sides of my right big toenail ingrown for over a year now. Several times I've cut the sides out to find them digging into my flesh a full quarter inch on either side, only for them to grow right back in. I've got several fingernails and smaller toenails trying to do the same sort of crap too, unfortunately. :raritydespair:

As for Sun Shine, I'm about halfway through this chapter at 1,655 words.

3517082 It is. It's really sucked, especially since I only got a two year reprieve. I had the same surgery done at age 18 on the other big toenail just before I joined the Navy. :trixieshiftleft:

As someone who has had that kind of surgery 5 times and now occasionally has nightmares of anesthesia shots. I feel for you.

3517646 Benefits of being a medical professional: I not only got to watch the procedure, I now know how to do it and can perform it on others. :yay:

I wish you the best of luck with the surgery.

I'm really glad you're working on Let the Sun Shine again.

3520697 Well, I do work in a hospital, where people come in with all sorts of things wrong with them. Hell, I fix up Marines, and any of them could have ingrown toenails.

3521509 It's more common an issue than you'd think.
