Just found this interesting; I kind of wonder if Lauren's concepts for MWatGG influenced her work on MLP or not.

I can definitely see how some personality traits might have been reshuffled, though it's possible that the order went from ponies to Galaxy Girls rather than the other way around. I wouldn't be surprised if some of Lauren's other G1-inspired character ideas were used to create these girls.
