Well, I'm back and I'm still alive and well. Two years! Good Lord!
Yeah, I know I've been one lazy sack of frog spawn, but to be fair, I graduated last year and I'm still holding on for dear life above that treacherous chasm we call life. I finally got a job, I'm nearing completion of my 3rd semester in college, and I haven't drawn nor written anything in the time span between 2013 to today. The only reason I'm coming back is because I haven't done a thing in this fandom and I feel like the more the series progresses, the closer I feel this fandom will just up and vanish. And with barely scrapping the surface into brony culture, I feel like all this will end too soon, hence why I haven't caught up with the show since the middle of season 4. I don't know, somehow, interest just kind of dwindled and I'm not fully comfortable watching Twilight get a new castle, or the CMC earn their cutie marks; I hate change, especially when that change could be ending as we know it.
makes me nauseous just thinking about it.
Anyhow, I'll be only devoting my focus to "The Thoughts that Count", and giving it a complete overhaul! Start from the ground up as I want to rebuild the story of Ike in a more elaborate and emotional way. I've recently taken a creative writing class, and I gotta say, the old story I wrote a long time ago is just not doing it. It needs to be more cohesive and more exciting. So, I'll scrap the old fanfic and begin again.
The new Ike is more emotionally troubled with a tough backstory. Isolated, bitter, and disconnected in a more relatable sense so that he can be apart of his own universe. Also, the setting is still taking place right around the near end of season 1, just for that good old nostalgia! And the side characters known as my all too favorite Wild West tech gang, are gonna be playing a pivotal role with their elaborate backstories and bombastic personalities. I'll try my best to keep the My Little Pony thing as canon as possible, but where's the fun in just keeping it simple? When I say elaborate, I mean my own totally original additions like grim antagonists, hidden secrets not connecting to the show itself, etc.
So yeah, in a nut shell...
