    Well, this is it.

I think I'm done with writing for a while. I find myself simply not wanting to do it, as of late, and I think this is as good a time as any to bow out. I hope you enjoyed my stories, I enjoyed writing them when I did. I may come back one day, to write more, you never know. Still, I doubt it.

Either way, thank you all for your support, likes, and all that! You were a great audience.

    ?!

Oh gee, lookit that. I posted a chapter. Took me long enough, right? The thing is, I'm really struggling for ideas of silly mishaps and such to befall the two, and a real romance hook as well. I thought I had them coming into the story, but, well, you know how it is if you've ever written something. It just gets away from you and goes off to do it's own thing.

Preview of new project! · 5:16pm Jan 20th, 2012

I couldn't believe my eyes. Cloudsdale was in total disarray. Chaos everywhere. The riot was completely out of control, and there was nothing I could do but watch as my friends were all but gone. Inspire was at my hooves, bleeding and unconscious. I wasn't a doctor, but I was sure she was dying. There's nothing I can do. Arnbjorg stood beside me, the petite gryphon trembling as she watched. There's nothing I can do. There's nothing she can do. Boxcars had tackled Silver, and the two were wrestling on the ground. It was to the death. There's nothing I can do. There's nothing she can do. There's nothing they can do

Silver's fangs dug into Boxcars, time and time again, but the green pegasus wouldn't stop. His hoof struck out, one blow knocking Silver silly, a second sending him scooting along the cloud street. Silver's purple coat was soaked with moisture from the cloud, and as he rose it dripped off of him like rain. He spat some of his own blood to the side, and his red eyes glowed with malice and rage. "You're stubborn, Boxcars. I'll give you that. But you're already getting tired. Give up, and I'll spare you. I mean, what're friends for, right?" The words stung me more than they did Boxcars, I could tell. He was already setting himself up to dive at his opponent. I could only watch.

"DO SOMETHING!" I screamed at Arnbjorg. She cringed away from me, and looked away, clenching her eyes shut. "He'll listen to you if you just call him off!" I spun to face her, and dug a hoof into the cloud angrily. "Make Silver stop!"

"I-I can't. I can't," She repeated, firmly, though there was a wavering to her voice that spoke volumes to me about how much she wanted to. "And I won't."

I was tempted to kick her, to pin her, threaten her. It would be worth it to save Cloudsdale and my friends. But I knew that would probably just kill her. "Please, Arn... You can't just do nothi-" My words were cut off by a bolt of lightning underneath. The throngs of rioting Pegasi didn't notice. A few of them were fried by the electricity surging through the dark mass below them, but the mobs didn't even notice, and trampled over their bodies.

"CYAN!" A voice came from above. Arn narrowed her eyes and cast a baleful glare at the approaching figure. It was Goldwing. Out of the darkness of the sky, her brilliant white fur and golden mane shone, her cutie mark of the sun peeking through dark clouds like the light of hope. She landed beside me. Goldwing only smiled her normal serene smile, even at the death and chaos around us. "Cyan, Cloudsdale needs you."

"WHAT?!" I was completely incredulous. Goldwing was always a little odd, different from all of us, but this topped the cake. "Are you bucking CRAZY?!" I never swore, but I was that angry. "Where are the Princesses?! Where are the Elements of Harmony?! Shouldn't they be fixing this?!"

"You call on princesses that won't come, and ponies that can't save you now," Silver remarked. I jumped, terrified and shrinking back from him. I was too distracted by Goldwing's crazy to realize Silver had taken down Boxcars, and was approaching us. "It's pathetic, really." He regarded Goldwing with a scowl. "Your cutie mark gives you away. I know who you are, you frau-"

Goldwing cut him off, speaking as though Silver wasn't even there. "Cyan, we can't always rely on the Elements. We ponies have to do things for ourselves, sometimes! And I know you can do this. I KNOW." She lost that smile, now giving me a pleading look.

There's nothing I can do, I thought to myself one more time. Cloudsdale is going to fall, everypony is going to die, and I can't DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!

I mean, what can I do? I'm just a colt. I'm not a hero. I'm not like Inspire, a genius who can invent almost anything. I'm not Boxcars, whose special talent is being super lucky. I'm not Arn, a gryphon that can enrapture ponies with her music. I'm not like Goldwing, who is always on top of everything. I'm DEFINITELY not like Silver, who, until this time, was my best friend.

I'm just a baker. And I can't possibly save the world.
