If your primary reason for writing is writing for an audience, you've set yourself up to fail from the start.

Recognition and attention is nice, yes, and writers do thrive on it, but your first and foremost reason for writing should ALWAYS be that YOU WANT TO WRITE.

If you're writing for others and not for yourself, you're never going to enjoy writing.

I cannot help but disagree with that yon user's sentiments. Thy reasons for writing are entirely thine own, and thou can'st find enjoyment in them regardless of what they are. Do not let what others think thou should'st be doing affect the way thou comport'st thyself. If thou wish'st to cease thy writing, then make sure thou decidest so based 'pon thine own wants and desires, not the perspectives of others who use capital letters for emphasis.

3563208 This has doesn't have too much to do with Mythril (although he is a part of it-we're not on great terms at the moment). It's just that my attempts to write or get involved with the community are repeatedly ending in failure, and I stopped watching the show months ago regardless. So, well... I'm done.

If that is thy decision then I shan't attempt to dissuade thee from it, although I certainly shall mourn the loss of a writer. Mine only intent is to make certain that thou choosest thusly for reasons that are thine own and not those belonging to another. I do still plan to review thy story as soon as things calm down for me.
