Hey there everypony! long time no blog. anyway if you guys haven't figured it out by now Destiny Unknown was not excepted by Equestria Daily on account of flat writing and other bad thingies. and so I fell into a sad pit of sadness because i realized that my writing really WAS flat. But I don't give up that easily. I read EQD's Editor Omnibus and any other writing tip based things i could find. and so I came to formulate the following list of things to do to improve Destiny Unknown.
1) Take a break from writing, let my fic sit for a while and just forget about it for a month or two. meanwhile read as many high quality fics you can and take notes (mentally) of proper righting and such. I have just finished this part.
2) Come back to Destiny Unknown and re-read it. its funny how many issues I didn't catch when I was writing it.
3) go back into Destiny unknown and do basic edits. you will notice i did this with the prologue but not with any of the other chapter's this is because of step 5.
4) re-develop each of the main characters for each chapter. go much more in-depth with their descriptions and personalities. I realize that most my characters were just well.... bleh.
5) completely re-write all of the current chapters and compile them into one massive chapter.the reason behind this is that each of the chapters right now are relatively short and horribly written. As i get back into updating this im going to post longer, less frequent chapters that (hopefully) are of relatively good quality. But this is a lot for one guy to do himself don'tcha think? that's what the next step is for.
6) find some good editor's. let's face it im a horrible editor and i hope that i can find some ponies willing to help a brony out.
and that's about it. I have a lot of idea's for when i re-write the chapter's and believe me I mean A LOT of ideas. when im done with it the new chapter 1 will be quite different.
One final thing: Im accepting OC submissions to be in the fic. try to make the submission detailed and in depth the more i know about your OC the better I can write it :D. alright everypony that's it! watch for changes to the fic over the next few months and stay tuned for more! BYE!
