This Weeks Episode: Hearthbreakers A.K.A. Seriously? Holiday Special BEFORE Even Thanksgiving?

I know I'm late as hell, IN MY DEFENSE! I was at work... And I know I didn't tell you guys but yeah, I'm working now... Anyway, PINKIE PIE EPISODE AWAY!... Applejack too, but PINKIE!

So it starts with a bit more insight into Hearthwarming, and by that I mean you put dolls above the fireplace.

We see Twilight and Spike doing this, Pinkie and Apple come by to say hello and that they're families are getting together for the holiday because as we all remember they may be one in the same (see Pinkie Apple Pie).

So, we get a quick gingerbread recap of how Equestria was born, side note I'll have me some Puddinghead Pudding.

I know Pinkie isn't Puddinghead, Puddinghead, but she is Pinkie who is the best pony.

So, we get to finally meet Pinkie's family in canon and get canon names they are as follows, Maud who we already knew and loved.

Side note, she's amazing enough to know they were sledding based on the rocks on AJ's hooves... I honestly thought she was gonna say she was watching them... I'm not kidding!

Her father is Igneous Rock Pie, her mother Cloudy Quartz, the darker one Limestone, and the last one Marble (sorry Maud, new favorite non-Pinkie Pie, she's just adorably shy... someone get her to Ponyville to hang out with Fluttershy!)

Anyway, Limestone... to put it simply Limestone's a btch, sorry can't say it any other way, not much else to say just don't touch Holder's Boulder (it'll make sense).

So, dinner time Rock Soup... I LOVE THAT STORY!

Though this looks decidedly more rock based as opposed to the rock just being a trick to tell everyone to work together, not uh... not as good looking.

Time to make the dolls, and they carve them, pretty neat if I do say so myself.

Finally, time to hunt for a rock to see who gets to put up the flag tomorrow, everyone gets split into teams, AJ and Pinkie, Bloom and Maud, all the parents (not team old, team 3) and most importantly Big Mac and Marble (OTP I FREAKING SHIP IT!) Limestone's the judge by the by, should throw that part out there as to why she's not on a team.

Anyway, everyone bonds, Maud and Bloom talk about dreams of turning into things (rock for Maud, apple for Bloom), Team Old (sorry Pinkie, that's who they are) talk about how Cloudy and Igneous met, and Granny asks if the paring stone knew any hunky apple farmers, Marble and Mac more or less (mostly less since both hardly talk)... well Tristan, if you'd please.

DAMN STRAIGHT I FOUND THAT CLIP!

Anyway, Pinkie finds the rock which is a drawing because hiding actual obsidian would be weird (keep in mind, this is coming from the pony who wore this

to fight a dragon... do with this knowledge as you will).

Anyway, time for tomorrow.

Long story short, AJ ruined everything by trying to force her family traditions, planting a flag pole on a fault line, and sending Holder's Boulder tumbling down the cliff.

So, the Apple's leave the farm, and on the train we get an explanation of why the boulder is so important, the Pie family's great, great, grandfather found it in a dragon hoard (best treasures always are) and built the farm around it and it always brought them luck.

So, everyone's trying to push the boulder (not to be confused with Maud's AWESOME pet

Maud got that on her baby sis) back up.

The Apple's come by to help, and everything's cool.

Also Boulder got a cinnamon roll.

Long story short, the lesson was learn why other people do traditions, and tell them how you do, over time build new ones from this don't just shove the way you do things down their throats, you'll send a precious family artifact tumbling down a hill.

Overall, I just gotta ask why we're getting this so early, I also gotta say it wasn't bad, not amazing, just an alright episode I mainly loved because we got to see Pinkie's family and they're (with the exception of the btch Limestone, I mean she's cool but... yeah...) just as awesome as we thought.

Especially Marble... Marble X Mac 4 evah.

Anyway, next weeks episode, Scare Master, well Stare Master is a classical episode form season 1 starring Fluttershy, next week is Halloween, this makes to be a good combination and we all know it...
