Inquisitor M

Why 'Inquisitor'? Because 'Forty two': the most important lesson I ever learned. Any answer is worthless until you have the right question. Author, editor, critic, but foremost, a philosopher.

It should have been a simple raid on the ponies’ livestock, but they had prepared some kind of ambush. There had to be some reason he had been spared, and whatever that reason was, he would probably need all his strength to face it.

So you want to write betterer...

Just thought I'd quickly advertise the latest Humble Bundle of ebooks on writing. I've no idea how good any of them are, but if you're interested, you can't go far wrong with the price.

    New Directions

I could do the whole 'here's my update' skit, but to be quite frank, I'm just going to ask for clicks. The long and the short of it is that medication is working out very well, I have a job lined up through a special back-to-work scheme that is going well so far, and a new game is coming out in a couple of months that has finally gotten me enthused about writing again.

    Reading: Three Solos, One Cadence

I may have assumed that this project had fallen by the wayside since it's been so long. And, of course, I have been somewhat otherwise-occupied recently. Imagine my surprise when fifty-eight minutes of some of my best character writing popped up in my inbox. The background music choices make this absolutely sublime. Whether you have read the original or not, this is well worth a listen.

Pleasant Commentator and Review Group Submissions Opening! · 11:31am Oct 24th, 2015

Probably should have mentioned this is Thursday's post, but the Pleasant Commentator and Review Group has finally emptied out it's submission folder and will be opening its submission folder from 12–12.30 midday today (CST, which is GMT +5) and 12–12.30 midnight tonight. That should give most people a window to submit something they want a review on. One submission per author – across both windows, not one each – and please only submit your own stories.

Last time out I submitted Pride and got this review for it. I think I might drop in Three Solos, One Cadence this time and see if it performs as well, but only because I'm not evil enough to dump all 100k of Shades of Grey on someone.

...or maybe I am evil enough. I'll have to ponder that.

Anyway, foot's starting to wind me up again already. Basically, this means I'm going to start up Titan Quest and disappear for the rest of the day, otherwise I might start chewing on my keyboard out of frustration. It is healing, though, so with luck I can get back to some kind or normality by then end of the weekend.

So yeah. Pick a story and submit it in four-and-a-half hour's time. Do eeeet!

Thanks for the info. That's a really, really nice long review, and I shall like one of my own. Hah! Will give it a try.
