A Canterlot Carol in the Royal Canterlot Library · 9:20pm Oct 23rd, 2015
So some days ago I asked all ACC readers to go and vote for what they liked best in the RCL 2nd anniversary contest. Turns out what you guys liked best was A Canterlot Carol. Wow. Uh... Thank you. I ended up winning to my lasting, possibly permanent, shock and against truly stupendous competition, too.
The fine fellows of the RCL took the occasion to re-interview me and you can read it here. Come and give it a look? It has jokes in and everything...
Oh man, not to gloss other points of a fine interview, but holy crud, I am so coming back to Bronycon if you show. That would be unreal.
I can't believe I didn't spot the connections between your Civil Service-verse and Yes Minister! I can definitely see Dotted as the Humphrey Appleby to the Jim Harper that is the nobility.
3491685 We're gonna get a group together to mob him if he can make it. Or to crowdfund the plane ticket. Think we can get Americans to help ensure he gets the visa?

Um... Actually, I already looked at the "help with a visa" thing, and from what I read, not only can't we really help, I'm a little suspicious that we could potentially hurt his ability to get one. It sounds like what the visa people really want is solid evidence that you have ties to home and you don't plan on overstaying. Providing lots of evidence that he has friends here might actually be bad.
International relations—the one place where friendship may actually not be magic.

Does he need a visa? I don't know what country he's from; some folks can visit the US without one for a limited time, others cannot. If he's a EU citizen, he might be able to get in using the ESTA system instead.
Dunno, though. I really have no clue how international travel works for people who aren't American, and it seems like most people don't mind Americans coming (with their money).
Wait, you might be coming to Bronycon?
I am freaking going if you are going to be there, if I have to walk.
3491751 He's from one of the rare European locales that the States is aggressively suspicious of.
3491841
Ah, that's unfortunate.
3492044 Exactly! Surely your ghost wouldn't hate everything nearly as strongly.
Another interview? That's like three now Well done. And if you want help with whatever the project is, I'm still here even if I've been rather quiet lately.
