Knackerman

I am the Knackerman. Most of my writing deals with horror, suspense, and tragedy. And yes, there will be gore.

    Proof Reader/Editor Needed

Would anyone be interested in proof reading and editing some of my stories?

I’m really tired of all of the ‘it’s an interesting story but all these grammatical errors!’ comments.

    One Last Thing...

Times the Candy Mare has canonically been defeated, by whom, and how in chronological order:

Something Sweet to Bite Three Released! · 4:45pm Oct 22nd, 2015

First let me apologize. I had originally intended to release The Last Something Sweet to Bite at the start of this month. While I thought everything was ready to go I spent a little time tweaking parts of the story, reworking some bits that were probably fine the way they were, and adding a few things here and there. I figured I'd have plenty of time to release the story a little later in the month.

Then a tragedy in miniature struck. The Cover Art for the story was deemed too extreme to appear on the site. Since it was considered NSFW, I was put in something of a bind. I could go ahead and release the story without any cover art, wait an extra week to try and have that fantastic art from kvernikovskiy reworked to meet the sites standards, or try and commission different cover art entirely. I went with the second option, but it took a little longer than I'd hoped it would, and (despite the approval process being much faster this second attempt) it has been released the day after my birthday with less than ten days until Halloween! Panic!

Or perhaps not really?

While this isn't the longest story I've ever written, I think it's unlikely that many of you will be able to read the entire story before Halloween Night. Given that it is the longest story in the trilogy, however, that was likely to be the case regardless. As such, maybe it's not as big a deal as I'm making it out to be, but I was panicking a bit on my end, so if this causes any inconvenience or lack of enjoyment on your part as a reader, I apologize in advance.

Now, with that out of the way, lets talk about the story itself. I've made no secret that Something Sweet to Bite was based loosely on my love for B horror movies and that most wondrously gruesome holiday of All Hallows Eve. While the first story borrowed elements from such movies as Trick R Treat and Night of the Living Dead, its sequel was more along the lines of Army of Darkness with just a touch of Silent Hill. Even the prequel, (which I understand not many of you have read) had its horror movie inspiration from body horror films like Slither and Saw.

This third (technically fourth) and final entry into the series has similar inspirations, though it's perhaps the loosest of all this time around. There are elements of Exorcist style movies, as well as the psychology of A Nightmare on Elm Street. There are also a few references to my favorite horror movies and games within the text itself, so it will be interesting to see what all you readers can catch and what might go over your heads.

The story itself is, of course, set in the Equestria Girls universe, though not necessarily the universe depicted in the animated movies. After the almost assured destruction of Equestria in the second story, I wanted to explore what the Candy Mare would be like in a different setting. Given MLP's somewhat popular spin off series had just released Rainbow Rocks as I was finishing the first sequel, it seemed like the obvious choice. Tearing down an innocent, high school world like that seemed like it would be right up the Candy Mare's alley. And of course, teenagers being torn to shreds is horror stories 101!

The violence in The Last Something Sweet to Bite has been toned down a little bit because of the volume of the cast, but there are a lot of really fun moments, I think, and I can't wait to see how people react to them! One of the elements of the Candy Mare that I always found the most terrifying, though one I'm not sure others really picked up on, is that she has a tendency to kill you with what you love. This can take on different forms (probably the most direct example would be the Flim Flam brothers fate) but that kind of twisted sadism is very much present in this story. The Candy Mare is all smiles and laughs, but that's just because she's thinking about what she's going to do to you.

As mentioned, if you couldn't guess from the title of the story, this will likely be the last Candy Mare story I do. Or, more specifically, the final Something Sweet to Bite. That is to say that the Candy Mare may crop up again in my writings as a cameo, or even a short story or two, but this is likely the last bit of long form prose that I will devote to the character. I love her as any doting father would love his child, but I think it's best for her story to end on a somewhat high note. I could be wrong, though. Maybe there should be another story? I know I left plenty of questions still unanswered despite going out of my way to answer the most questions in this third installment.

Eh well, that's enough for now. I'll probably do a follow up blog post about the art!

I hope you enjoy my story and have a Happy Nightmare Night!

What was the original picture supposed to be:yay:?

Well, it looked like this actually:

Which, honestly, I don't think it's really all that bad. As gory images go, I've seen much worse. Maybe they just didn't like her smile?

There was also meant to be a mirrored image of the Candy Mare in her humanoid form, intended to be something of a bookend of the entire series. It was commissioned around the same time as the cover art, but sadly never made it further than the sketch phase. I was hoping to release a few of the sketches all together once the piece was finished. Truth be told it may never come to be, so I guess I'll show you the best of the sketches of that piece as well:
