Another Sunlit Night Sequel Update · 10:02am Oct 18th, 2015
Hello everyone! Captain Disappointment here with an update for all of you patient readers as well as those who are not going to like what I have to say next.
As you might have guessed, it is taking a while for the sequel to come out. Good news is that it has actually been started and as some of you may know, starting stories is the biggest hurdle in my race to get fics out to all of you.
Seriously it almost borders on a phobia level and procrastination is the only fear repellent I can afford.
However after getting all 2,600 words typed up during a small writing burst, I looked over my pages (Like 3 pages) of notes and the pace of which the story was progressing in only to calculate my expectation of this project only taking approximately 2 weeks to finish was a serious understatement.
If I want to keep my quality of fics on the rise and do my best as a writer, then I will have to make more time to make this story one worthy of what I've imagined for all of you.
When I imagined a two week estimate I totally forgot to work in all the time I would have to be away from my computer, keeping a decently healthy social life (surprisingly I manage to still have one), as well as all of those dreadful hours in which I have a procrastination spell or as it turns out to be an entire week in which I am completely uninspired to type a single sentence .
I know there were at least a good handful of you looking forward to this follow up of my most popular story, and I am absolutely left dumbfounded by the support and praise I get from you all. In all honesty, I feel no better than when I am reading all of the wonderful comments left by those wishing me luck, giving thanks, or, yes, even you helpful people out there giving me helpful criticism.
It truly makes me feel bad when I have to keep putting things on hiatus *cough* When We Danced *cough* and when I must postpone works because of real life stuffs.
So as what little more compensation I can provide, I would like to see what you all think.
I am thinking of releasing a small portion, a teaser if you will, of the first chapter of A Sunlit Nightmare as i will only be releasing it as a whole once all of the chapters are finally complete.
However I would very much appreciate your opinion of whether or not to do this! I understand wanting to read some of the story early would be something some of you would want while on the other hand those of you who read it will be left hanging for however long it will take me to complete this story. So I created a poll! I would appreciate it if as many of you as possible would take it to give me some feedback. Once a fair number of votes are in, I will either release or withhold that content.
I know I personally do not enjoy reading a portion of a story and then waiting for the rest to arrive, but many of you could care less so I feel like letting the public decide.
[Click Here to take the Teaser Poll]
As an added bonus, if the vote passes for a release, then at any moment Chapter One is updated, you can read that as well!
Hope you all can hang in there a while longer as I apologize, once again. There are a whole bundle of excuses I could pull, many of which I already have, but I hope you all remain patient with my slacking nature.
The Poll is now closed and I would like to thank all of you who voted for your feedback.
The results were 71% to 28% in the end so within the next few days I will touch up my spoiler content and release the story.
Of course the whole thing is not finished and I now realize that this story will be another massive project for me to complete, hence the pre-release of Chapter 1. As promised, the more I work on this, the more will be released. However, those of you that do not handle patience or cliff hangers well should avoid the story until its completion.
Those of you who did not opt for the teaser I apologize but refrain or read at your own leisure.
