Hey ya'll, SSRD here again with another blog you probably don't give two shits about! Be glad I don't fill your notifications up more, you ungrateful inbreeds! Anyways, I'm here with just another random blog. The topic: Crysis 2. This game is probably one of the coolest I've possibly ever seen in my 14 years of life. And I like to think I've seen my fair share of cool things. But I want to talk about the specifics about this game. I don't have any of the Crysis games as of right now, but you better fucking believe I'm getting Crysis 3 when it comes out, and Crysis 2 sometime before that. That means there are now four games on my wish list. COD BO 2, and Halo 4, which both look damn awesome in their own ways. That's right, I'm not a butthurt dude who goes with one side. They're both awesome.

Getting back on track, Crysis 2 is kind of believable in it's own special way. You know how games give you the controls at the beginning of the game? Well this one is no different, but I think it's realistic. I mean, Prophet's not going to give you a multi-million nano suit and go "lol figure out how to do it yourself." The story is really neat in my eyes. There's not one single enemy. There's C.E.L.L, and whatever the aliens are called. That in my eyes leads to more interesting gameplay. Reason being because you have to adapt to the enemy you're facing. C.E.L.L you can just go sneaky sneakeh on them, or face them head-on. The aliens are more easy to handle while cloaked. Which leads me to my next point.

The graphics in this game in my opinion are only challenged by Halo: Reach, and that game set a high bar for graphics. the surroundings in the game look amazing, with shading and proper light reduction and addition depending on what way you're facing. The movement and different scenarios you can encounter while using your abilities are amazing. When cloaked, sneaky sneakeh time. When maximum armor is engaged, you can rush up to an armored truck, kill the gunner while he blasts at you, and rip it of the roof. If that isn't badass, I don't know what is. Since I haven't seen the entire game, I don't know if this exists, but I'm guessing it doesn't. I wish there was a cutscene where Alcatraz is cloaked, and sneaks up behind a guy, uncloaks and snaps his neck. You have to see what he looks like to understand how fucking cool that would look.

The HUD is absolutely amazing as well. I like how the game lets YOU choose how you want to take a situation. Instead of rushing right into front lines, by default, you can hold back and snipe, rush in, or sneak around and stealth kill them. That's another cool feature of the game, you get to choose how to make the situation bend to your liking. And there's always so many tactical options. You can even just sit back, relax, observe the scene. From there it makes it easier to choose how to do it. For example, if you chose to rush on in, thinking you had the situation under control, and find an alien mech around the corner, you're probably going to wish you had observed first. Or you can run up to it like a badass and plant grenades and shoot rockets at that motherfucker.

Final part: The intro. The intro is one of the best parts of the game. I mean it. It looks like the intro to the most hardcore action movie in existence. I like how they bleed in parts of real news footage to add the realism factor. Then when the sub gets fucked, and you swim to the surface, an alien ship comes out of the water. It looked better than a movie. Then after Prophet guns it down, and the best part of the intro starts. It just kind of shows off the abilities.
