Not really big on fanfic writing, but when I'm in the mood I'll jot something down from time to time. I'd much rather frequent sites like YouTube, DeviantArt, and Facebook

The best reaction to the CMC cuties marks ever on YouTube · 9:03pm Oct 11th, 2015

Seriously, look at this guy's eyes. He was so close to watering up completely.

Gonna be honest, I had a similar reaction myself, not gonna lie. Holy crap, just think where everything goes from here now!

What about reactions for:

1. Derpy confirmed as mailmare?
2. Applejack's parents confirmed dead?
3. Pipsqueak actually doing something for once?

3462643 When was it confirmed about their parents being dead? Did I miss something?

3463044 well AJ makes a specific mention of "if only Mom and Dad were here" at the end, usually that means dead parents.

3463137 Oh right.

Heh heh, AJ says that, and she just like, turns around and her parents are right there. "Oh shit, there you both are."

But no on a serious note, if that is enough to confirm that fact then damn. Now I'm even happier for Apple Bloom getting her cutie mark. She and Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle have come admirably far on their own little journey, and while it probably won't be quite the same anymore, it's a definite change that I for one happily welcome.

You know, I've commented on YouTube about how average the first season episodes were, and how just damn good the writing and animations got as the series went along. Look at shows like Spongebob and Family Guy, which all started out well and had their own charms, only to start creating unimaginative plots and lazy episodes in later seasons. Now look back to MLP. This is the fifth season, and it has exceeded so many expectations has it not? The writers of this show are absolutely brilliant, and they're improving as they go along.

Spongebob and Family Guy and some other cartoons may fail at exploring serious issues like death or rape or domestic abuse, but I'll tell you right now dude - I'm confident in these writers abilities that if they ever decided to tackle such dark subjects - not that they would, but if they ever did - they could not only pull it off well, but also present it in a mature and respectable manner.

Family Guy treats relationship abuse a not a big deal, and Spongebob looks at driving people to suicide as a joke. I believe that if the writers of MLP did any of these two cases they could do it so so much better. Not only would the two topics make interesting life lessons, but I think it would also show just how mature this show can be and just how one tackles these things.

Of course MLP isn't the sort of show to tackle such darker subjects, but the writers are getting so much better now that I really think they could pull something off really well.
