The Cutie Marked Crusaders

...Well, this latest episode has made my Power Ponies fic a little dated, don't ya think?

Seriously, I'm really REALLY glad that the Crusaders finally have their Cutie Marks and the writers can quit stringing along the tired old joke of "they try to get their marks, something bad happens, they have to apologise for it, they don't get their marks, sad but optimistic face". It was getting a little boring.

And I never thought I'd actually like Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. I thought that there was no redeeming those two and all that they've done and said to the CMC...But I was wrong, the actual reasoning for their bullying is...actually kinda relatable for some people. It was handled really well.

That being said, most of my fics either have them with the wrong cutie marks or with no cutie marks at all. Does that mean I'm going to go back and change them? No.

This is because:

1. This is fanfiction Pretty much everything written here strays from the cannon.
2. I'm a little bit lazy.
3. If I did, it'd change the stories too much and I'd get really confused on how to incorperate the new cannon.

Now my fic, the MacDash Chronicles, should be able to deal with this change easily. It was set back when the mane 6 and Mac were pre-teens, so at this point the crusaders were foals. Once it does start to move forwards a bit more, I'll be able to write in the cutie marks without too much trouble.

Seriously though, in my opinion, this episode is the best episode I've seen from the show. (Though I stopped watching the show after season 2 and just read PonyWiki for info when needed, so my opinion doesn't mean much.) I mean, even the songs were catchy as all Hell!

Not sure where they're going to go with the Crusaders from here, but I'm sure I'll catch those episodes. Because they'll be bringing something new to the table!
