Dragons: Riders of Berk Sneakpeek · 12:50am Aug 8th, 2012

watched the sneakpeek to the upcoming How To Train Your Dragon TV show and i must say, it was pretty good. set up the show well. animation was good, around the same quality as the Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar TV shows. the flying segments are faster(in a good way) and better. the dragons look as well as they did in the movie(though not as numerous as in the movie.) i think the tv show takes place before Legend of the Boneknapper and Gift of the Night Fury, seeing as how the Boneknapper or the baby dragons aren't in the show.

they introduced a few new characters, including a secondary villain named Mildew, who wants the dragons gone from Berk. they didn't introduce other characters like Dagus the Deranged, Alvin the Treacherous, or even the mystery character Anna Maria Perez de Taglé is voicing.

most of the original cast reprise their roles from the movie:
Jay Baruchel is still voicing Hiccup,
America Ferrera is still voicing Astrid,
Christopher Mintz-Plasse is still voicing Fishlegs,
and T.J. Miller is still voicing Tuffnut.
they changed the voices for some of the characters, as one should expect for a show based off a movie.
Gerard Butler is replaced by Nolan North for the voice of Stoick.
Kristin Wigg is replaced by Julie Marcus for Ruffnut.(though she does a good time, i couldn't tell the difference.)
Craig Ferguson is replaced by Christ Edgerly for Gobber.(like Ruffnut, couldn't tell the difference.)
and Jonan Hill is replaced by Zach Pearlman for Snotlout.

the official series premire is on September 4th. i'm gonna be setting my DVR to record.
