In case you missed my last blog post, I'm taking a break from the adventures of Celestia and Daring Do to write the next Petriculture story. Okay, I know that a lot of you have way too much stuff in your "read later" lists, but still, hear me out. One of my prereaders has a new story out, and I happen to think it's enjoyable. It's a crossover with the Monster Hunter series of sci-fi/fantasy novels by Larry Correia (not to be confused with the video game series of the same name), but it's of the sort where you're taking the basic plot devices of one series and adjusting them so they work in an Equestrian context, rather than coming up with some excuse to plop characters from one universe into another, so you don't actually need to be familiar with the inspiration to enjoy it.
