    Soon...

    All shall be revealed.

Nothing will ever be same again.

It waits beyond the veil of time and space.

Vamos, enter the light · 4:27pm Aug 6th, 2012

By the time you read this, the truth had already been revealed. The veil has been lifted from your sights and all the answers you’ve unknowingly sought will have been revealed. Whether it is your greatest fear, most sought-after treasure or even pinnacle of not-giving-a-damn, one thing is for sure:

The League exists. Nothing is as it seems.

With the revelation of all the participants, the goal and the results, I believe it is time for me to add a few words as well. I don’t entertain the thought that my words will be read by zounds of people, but it may prove to be an at least halfway bearable read for the lot of you that might stick by.

I was approached about a month ago on IRC, with the idea of a little hidden society that plans to do something both entertaining and educational. The basics and results of this you already know, so I’ll just skip past that part.

Even at the beginning, I was just plain staggered by the names presented. Sure, I may not have read works from all of them, but they were at least familiar names. However, I had no idea the roster would swell up even more. By time I flinched again, some of the biggest names in pony writing were casually strolling into a common Skype chat and that’s when some of the fuses in my brain just outright melted down.

Imagine the Greek gods dropping by for a leisurely afternoon in your backyard.

The numbers were rolled and I was paired with [url=”http://www.fimfiction.net/user/Blueshift”]Blueshift. We picked a prompt and ran with it, but due to real life kicking in with full force, neither of us had been able to complete our fics. I still plan on completing the fic, but it will be only on my account.

So yeah, to a certain extent, I kind of blew it. Here I had a chance to make it big, to really achieve something in the fandom, but due to my brilliance of picking a US camp for a summer job, I barely have about an hour or two each evening to spare. Far too little for pony time.

And yet, I don’t feel like I’ve completely failed.

Sure, in the end I wasn’t able to hand in a fic like most of the League, but just the fact that I was part of all this still makes me giddy. For reasons far beyond my comprehension, I was invited a dwarf amongst titans. Even though barely a month has passed, I learned a lot, had some great talks and laughed along with them. I guess this either proves I’m not nearly as annoying as I believe myself to be, or that the League just needed a jester.

On a serious note though, I have nothing but the utmost respect for my fellow League members. It was a priviledge for me to have been invited, one that I can barely even put into words. I feared the wrath of gods and instead I was met by an equal measure of funny and crazy.

So instead of trying to make sense of the results, I’d like to dedicate this to all of you.

Thank you for the opportunity and the pleasure of your company. You are all wonderful people(shut up, you are) and I cannot be happier and more grateful for the invitation. I hope to work with all of you again, if you ever feel like you’d tolerate my presence for a while.

I wish all of you luck in your future battles with procrastination and may you always find the plot you seek.

On a different note, though camp eats up most of my time, I have not forgotten about Playtime and Sir Spike. I don’t want to give an exact date or anything, but if all goes well, you may expect at least one of them to update by the end of the week. Or I might post a different story, who knows?

It was a pleasure working with you Zay :raritywink:

Life: it never fails.

But like you said you still got to be a part of it, and that's downright awesome. Can't wait for more Playtime, so good luck, and have fun at camp.
