It really is the best one in the series yet. It doesn't go overboard like the first movie with its odd character development and plot-holes, and it isn't just mean-spirited and boring like the second one...not that the first two were bad, but still. Friendship Games had an amazing story that didn't really have a true villain; it just worked on its own merits. I won't go into spoilers, in case you haven't seen it yet, but...it just works. From start to finish, it's awesome. The references to My Little Pony (the original series)...the jokes...the characters...the action...the magic...it's just all wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed it...and it didn't really even include Trixie that much to MAKE me enjoy it!
Honestly, I think you should all enjoy it, too. It has everything that it needed to be great. It didn't go too far, and it didn't just play it safe. It was perfect. Shocking, sweet, touching, crazy, fun, and full of friendship. Sure, the songs weren't the BEST, but...they worked. And, thankfully it wasn't overloaded with songs; it had only a few. But, again, each one worked for what they were put there for. In my honest opinion, each movie has gotten progressively better than the last. The first one was good, but nowhere near amazing. Rainbow Rocks was fun, but needed to shore up a few things. This one was just perfect. Again, go ahead and watch it and see for yourself. I loved it, and I'm sure you (if you love My Little Pony) will too!
