    "That's how it is, sometimes."

If I were to try to write a song about what I'm going through involving Fimfiction right now, that would probably be the title or something very similar. The need for a minimum or greater income in my life led me to advanced work, socialism, and a need to branch out in order to learn new traits and skills. I've finally achieved respite with a new home large enough to sustain any and all needs and

    Drugs are bad, m'kay?

I'm not joking... I justly had no choice but to watch what it did to my sister's husband who used to be my roommate.

"Just FYI..." (I need to vent)

"You can't go around telling people that they're not doing a good job, and that they should just quit, or give up especially if they're still new. They just might and leave your sorry excuse all alone to the ravenous wolves."

So, let's talk about time and the 90's

I've been hearing a lot of talk lately about how time has changed, and that there's not enough of it anymore, or that it seems like we have shorter and shorter days. I've even had people debating with me about how it's not because they're getting old.

Okay, might be strange for just a second, but let's briefly go back in time, then, to the 90's.

Revised Chapters (13 & 14) of Celestia's New Student · 1:54pm Sep 25th, 2015

If you're not currently reading the story this pertains to, move along. Otherwise, click 'Read More'.

Just a heads up everyone, mostly took away pieces of the story in reconsideration, so you may want to take another look at the most recent chapter published of Celestia's New Student. Trixie is no longer 'an alternate universe version of Starswirl the Bearded'. That's pretty much it. Hope I didn't ruin the story for anyone. :ajsleepy:

Yeh that concept came from nowhere.

So what? If people don't like what you write, you're just gonna change it? That's not how things should be. If you want Trixie to be Starswirl reincarnated, so be it. It's YOUR story man. Don't rely on what people think.

I think you still do what you want with your story. But I have to admit. It was a weird turn of event. Let's hope that don't stop you from writing what you want :)

Aw, that was actually a really interesting headcanon. Oh well. Time to go reread!

3418802 My logic is, I really don't want to write something that people aren't going to enjoy. If the readers aren't having fun, then I'm not having fun. I used to tell myself that I write for me, and nobody else. Recently, I came to realize that this is completely false. Otherwise, I wouldn't be considerate. So, no, when I saw that most of the people weren't enjoying it, I stopped enjoying it as well. I only did that because I thought people would have more of a surprised reaction, not a confused one.

3419561 Well, you could rewrite the same idea to make it more enjoyable instead if discarding it like that. It's just my opinion, and you are in your right to ignore me. But I started reading your fic because the concept interested me, and stayed because I wanted to know how it was going to play out. I didn't even get to read that first idea you had.

I don't want to sound rude, but knowing that you will change your stories on the go just because a bunch of people can't give proper feedback, well, makes me unsure if I want to keep reading.

This is my only advice. While it is true that you write so people can read it, it is also true that you shouldn't throw out your ideas because people don't like them.

So you're going to do the exact same thing that the people you are critical of are doing? What purpose or hope did you have in stating:

knowing that you will change your stories on the go just because a bunch of people can't give proper feedback, well, makes me unsure if I want to keep reading.

Are you trying to demoralize the author? Indirectly threaten them to stop changing the story or else loose your support, or maybe to prove a point? Why would you state something like that?

You have as much right to keep reading someone's story as they do in changing parts of it, regardless of the quality of feedback you deem worthy of them getting.

Art Inspired stated a purpose of writing a lot more noble than most others can claim. The enjoyment of the reader. That's awesome that an author cares about the enjoyment of his readers instead in of saying "fuck you I do what I want". If his enjoyment is the joy of his readers, then more power to him. If your enjoyment is writing what tickles your fancy, then more power to you.

But to make such comments like that, shame on you for passing judgement on someone's belief because they differ from yours. To say "well fuck it, I probably won't read anymore because of this" is incredibly low.

I am only in chapter 4 of your story. I have not tasted much of it, but I am enjoying much of it already. Thank you for it.

3420095 I am sorry if my comment can be easily misinterpretated like that. I actually told the author via PM that I wasn't going to stop reading their story.

The author was pretty clear telling me that their purpose is to make readers happy, and I can't agree more with that. The point I was trying to say is that the author shouldn't have to change their original ideas given the feedback, but instead writing them with other words, maybe writing filler chapters to explain a little more or give a heads up.
